Congratulations on making it this far on your journey in mental health and wellness. For most of us, even the thought of asking for help is a daunting task, so I commend you on taking the steps to find a therapist to assist you on your journey. As a therapist, I am equipped to assist with mental health maintenance, helping you gain insight into past situations that are affecting your life now, and facilitating better navigation of recent life changes.
You may have some idea of the obstacles keeping you from fulfilling a healthy life. For most, both internal and external factors play a part in our mental health. My goal is to create a trusting relationship that allows us to understand the whole being and all aspects of life, including personal, social, familial, environmental, and institutional.
As a therapist who is also an advocate for inclusion, I am culturally competent, and affirming; and I practice cultural humility. I work with all populations, especially those considered underrepresented which include but extend far beyond race, class, gender, and sex.
