Gabriella Morace
I’m a licensed master social worker (LMSW) with a Master of Social Work from Columbia University and certification as an Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist. Over the past several years, I’ve supported young adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and life transitions, particularly during my work in an intensive outpatient program. I approach therapy with deep curiosity and a commitment to whole-person care, focusing on you as a complete individual rather than a collection of symptoms.
My work is rooted in evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and trauma-informed care. I often incorporate creative reflection and introspection to help clients gain insight and discover more effective ways to manage emotions, relationships, and stress. When supporting individuals through grief, whether related to the loss of a loved one, an identity shift, or a chronic health condition, I draw from meaning-making frameworks and the dual-process model.
Many of the individuals I work with experience relational stress, significant life transitions, or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Whether we’re building a personalized toolkit for managing anxiety or exploring how past experiences influence present behaviors, our sessions will be collaborative, affirming, and guided by your goals. Together, we’ll move at your pace to address challenges, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with what brings you a sense of meaning and direction.
My style is compassionate, thoughtful, and grounded. I’m passionate about helping people feel empowered to reclaim their lives and connect more deeply with themselves and others. I particularly enjoy working with students and young adults, including those who identify as LGBTQ+, and I strive to create an inclusive, supportive, and genuine space.
Outside of therapy, I find joy in simple routines—morning coffee, experimenting with new recipes, watching reality TV, reading, practicing yoga, and taking long walks. These small moments help keep me grounded and present—something I often encourage my clients to explore in their own lives.
If you’re just beginning your therapy journey, know that it’s okay to move at your own pace and ask questions. Finding the right fit matters, and you deserve a therapist who feels aligned with your needs. Therapy isn’t about being fixed. It’s about discovering your strengths, understanding your story, and creating a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.
