Kim Anh Nguyen
Healing starts when we feel seen, heard, and accepted. My goal is to create a safe, caring, and
holding space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Therapy is a
team effort, and I want to build a trusting relationship that helps clients as we work together
toward real, lasting change.
Before I became a therapist, I spent more than 24 years as a Buddhist nun. During that time, I
learned mindfulness, compassion, patience, and how to listen attentively. These experiences
shape how I work with clients today. My practice is based on proven therapy methods, but I
also believe that real healing comes from genuine connection, curiosity, and self-kindness.
I earned my master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University, with a
focus on Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology. As a pre-licensed therapist,
I have helped teens and adults facing trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, relationship
issues, stress, self-esteem struggles, and big life changes. I have also worked closely with
survivors of domestic violence and abuse, supporting them as they rebuild safety, confidence,
and hope.
My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and respectful of the client’s background. I
use mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment
Therapy (ACT), and compassion-based techniques to meet each client’s needs. I believe
everyone can grow and heal, and I feel honored to help clients reconnect with their strengths
and make meaningful changes.
If you are going through a life change, healing from trauma, or just want a place where you
can be yourself without judgment, I would love to support you on your healing journey.
