Maria Karkabi Therapy
Therapy can be a place to slow down and make sense of what’s been shaping you - especially when familiar ways of coping no longer feel helpful. People often come to therapy during periods of change, relational stress, or when old patterns start to feel heavy or confusing. You don’t need to have clear answers to begin; therapy offers space to reflect, understand yourself more deeply, and decide how you want to move forward.
My approach is grounded in understanding how family dynamics, culture, identity, and broader social systems shape how we see ourselves and relate to others.
As a queer Palestinian- American woman, I bring lived experience and clinical training into my work and strive to offer care that is thoughtful, affirming, and nonjudgmental.
In therapy, we will move at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we may look back at the experiences and relationships that have shaped you, while also building clarity, self-trust, and support in the present.
Sessions can be challenging at times, and I offer a steady, compassionate presence as you work toward lasting change.
I invite you to reach out.
