Mike Hobart, LCPC, emphasizes a humanistic orientation when working with clients based on a respect for their uniqueness and potential. He uses a warm, empathetic approach to help people through whatever life challenges they might be facing and tailors his approach to match the specific individual. Throughout his career, Mike counseled clients of varying ages with a wide variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance abuse and trauma.
Mike is skilled at an assortment of evidence-based treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and strives to collaborate with clients using an eclectic approach to help them reach their personal goals.
Mike received a BA from University of Illinois and an MS from Benedictine University, and is currently an adjunct faculty member in Benedictine University's undergraduate psychology department.
