A lot of the people I work with are capable, driven, and not used to asking for help. Something's gotten heavier than usual — stress that won't turn off, a relationship that's falling apart, a slump in motivation or performance, a transition that's harder than it was supposed to be — and the usual strategy of pushing through has stopped working. That's usually where we start.
My approach is direct and practical. I'll meet you where you are, ask real questions, and we'll work together to turn vague overwhelm into something clearer: what's driving it, what matters to you, and what to do next. I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, and mindfulness-based skills — but sessions aren't lectures. You'll leave with structure, a plan, and tools you can actually use between sessions.
I have a background in sport psychology and performance, and I work with a lot of athletes and high-achievers on pressure, confidence, and getting out of your own way. I also have a particular interest in relationship work — understanding your patterns, communicating more directly, and building connections that hold up. And I work with young men navigating expectations, self-reliance, and the stuff nobody taught us how to talk about.
I offer in-person sessions at our Sudbury office and secure telehealth for students anywhere in Massachusetts, with daytime and evening hours and current availability — typically scheduling within a week. I practice under the supervision of Dr. Allison Flynn, PsyD, at Mind Anchor Mental Health. I'm in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA, Harvard Pilgrim, and Tufts Health Plan.
If you're not sure whether therapy is for you, that's a fine place to start. Reach out and we'll figure it out together.
