Psychologist, PhD

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates. I use evidence-based approaches to help people experiencing body image and self-esteem concerns, anxiety, depression, and disordered eating among other behavioral and psychological challenges.

I seek to understand each person’s unique experience. We all have a history that has shaped who we are, the messages we tell ourselves, and the behaviors we use to cope with the unavoidable pain that life brings us. I collaborate with each person to understand their experience, increase their insight, and facilitate progress toward their goals. I am thorough and kind-hearted, and I also appreciate moments of levity and laughter to balance the challenging aspects of therapy.

I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) along with other evidence-based approaches to guide our work. This often involves discussing inner self-critical messages and taking a closer look at challenging moments and reoccurring patterns.

We will gain an understanding of the patterns that are moving you closer to and further from what you want out of life and develop strategies to help you move closer to the life you want to live. We will be on this journey together, working as a team, and adjusting the work to the right direction and pace for you.
