I know that you've likely heard so many messages throughout your life about what you should do and who you should be, but I don't think that "shoulds" have a place in therapy. Who do you WANT to be? Making a decision to go to therapy could be anxiety provoking but it could also help you to get unstuck from your current situation. I have been a witness to individuals getting past their trauma, even after decades of suffering. I am also certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an EBP for anxiety and depression.
