Hello, my name is Tyesha Sullivan. Reaching out for support is a brave and meaningful step, and I want you to know that you don’t have to go through this alone. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. My approach to care is collaborative—you are the expert on your own life, and together we will develop a plan that fits your unique needs and goals. I specialize in supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, sleep disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorders, eating disorders, and mood disorders. Whether you are facing overwhelming stress, difficulties with focus, or emotional ups and downs, I provide evidence-based care tailored to your needs. Whether this is your first time seeking mental health support or you’re looking for a new provider, I welcome you to connect with me. Let’s work together to create the changes you’ve been hoping for.
Are you looking for a therapist who is sex-positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, poly-friendly, and kink-knowledgeable? I am a sex-positive, kink/BDSM-knowledgeable therapist who specializes in working with adults in polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous relationships; queer, trans, and non-binary individuals. I am trained in EMDR, sex therapy, EFT couples therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness and somatic techniques to help individuals struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, and other challenges. I also have a background in the arts, and love working with people in filmmaking, visual arts, and other creative fields. My therapeutic style is client-centered, trauma-informed, and warm but direct. Laughter, tears, swearing, dark humor, movie references, and stories about your pets are all welcome in sessions with me!
I specialize in anxiety, depression, body image issues, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder & college adjustment/ academic stress. My therapeutic approach is practical and flexible, grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and exposure therapy. I find that people often assume that they “should” know how to approach therapy. In reality, the process may not be quite so simple and may feel confusing. Thus, I frequently have conversations with my clients about how to use sessions and ongoing dialogues about our work together.

I also have expertise in this area. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University in their gender and sexual identities track. I offer therapy to people with a variety of concerns including trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, eating disorders, and difficulties with impostor syndrome. I hope I get the honor of working with you.

I know that coming to therapy is a profound undertaking, and that what I will ask of you in this process is not easy. Introspection, change, and confronting avoidance are hard, and so I strive to provide a safe, authentic, and collaborative environment that honors your story, experience, and identity with compassion and without judgment; I strive to be worthy of bearing witness to your story. ***Sirviendo a personas ubicadas en California y Oregón*** ¡Hola! I work with non-linear thinkers who are searching for a therapist with intuitive wisdom who cherishes the divergent path. I specializes in connecting with ADHDers who have always felt different even if others couldn't tell. My clients are notoriously curious and adept improvisors, who are playfully creative, but they still feel perpetually out-of-sync with the world around them. They charm others with their insight and levity, and save the biting criticisms for themselves. So they end up feeling like anxious imposters, waiting to be exposed. Acquiescing to others has helped you get by without too many catastrophes, but deep down you can't keep convincing yourself that you're okay with just getting by. There's a deeper itch that's beckoning you into an alternative way of being. Yes, still different, but personal, integrated, aligned with your soul. I approach therapy as the life-changing work that it is, and while there's a serious commitment to exploring one's psyche, it doesn't mean you or I are required to take ourselves too seriously. Excavating one's own lived experience and the difficulty of navigating a world not built for you is not for the faint of heart, yet we continue to be curious, adapt, and play. I am intentional in creating and holding space for clients to find and share a more authentic version of themselves. Clients are well-met when they bring curiosity about their distinct approach to life, courage to speak what has been left unsaid, and compassion to nurture a deeper truth about themselves.
You want to feel better. There's a lot of reasons for starting therapy, but they usually boil down to that. You might be feeling overwhelmed with worry, disconnected from meaningful activities and relationships, or just overwhelmed with life transitions. I want you to know that you're not alone in these feelings, and therapy can be a great way to see your problems in a new light, identify exciting new goals, and ultimately...feel better. I work from a strengths-based, client-centered, and solution focused perspective that emphasizes the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. If you're interested in working with me, or would like to know more about how therapy could help you, I invite you to contact me to set up a free consultation session to see if we're a good fit, or if I could direct you to one of my trusted colleagues. Thank you!
I work with clients who are struggling with feeling "not good enough" whether because of their own inner critic or because of marginalization and oppression from a world that is telling you you are "too much," or "not enough." I am passionate about helping clients move past their anxiety, self-doubt, and self-criticism to feel confident, secure, and proud of themselves. I also integrate career counseling into my work, helping clients move towards a future they are excited about. I offer individual and group therapy online for folks located in California and Connecticut. I see clients in person from my office in Ridgefield, CT. The idea of therapy can be overwhelming for many. People sometimes associate therapy with a sense of inadequacy or inability to handle their own problems. They often do not recognize the act of seeking self-improvement as courageous, which, of course, it is. In my work with individuals, I create a safe space where they are able to heal, grow, and flourish. With compassion and empathy, I guide each person through the process of understanding the root of their problems so they may discover a greater depth of personal insight and self-awareness. Through that process, I find great satisfaction in witnessing each person heal their emotional wounds and develop self-love and self-compassion as they begin living a more fulfilling existence with inner peace and enriched relationships.
