Hi there, and welcome. The choice to begin the therapeutic process is a powerful step in the direction of growth, healing, and a deeper source of empathy for oneself. I view therapy as a foundation of support with moving through whatever hardships may come your way, whether that means navigating grief, trauma, or the struggles of daily life. My approach to therapy can be described as casual, warm, and engaging with a sprinkle of my own personality and sense of humor. I prioritize supporting clients with accessing validation for themselves that they might allow for others and emphasize internal acceptance while challenging thoughts that may prevent folks from moving forward. My hope is for sessions to feel like a space to settle in, collaborate, and investigate together how your past influences your present. I have over eight years of experience working within the mental health community and have been providing therapy for over five years. I work with a variety of issues such as day-to-day stressors, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I have also received extensive training on crisis intervention and deescalation as well as interventions for passive suicidal ideation, superficial self-harm, and struggles with substance abuse. Therapeutic modalities that I utilize in treatment include: Narrative Therapy Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Attachment Therapy Humanistic Therapy Feminist Therapy In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my cats, gardening, camping, doing yoga, needle pointing, and playing video games.
Life can be overwhelming and bring challenges that seem bigger than ourselves. This can lead us down rocky terrain. If you find yourself exhausted, unmotivated, anxious, depressed, feeling helpless or hopeless, know that it is okay to seek help. You can change your path. As a therapist it is my goal to meet my clients where they are on their path, to assist them in learning how to access their inner strengths, to practice self-compassion, and learn to overcome harmful narratives developed from past traumas. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them achieve their goals and live a more fulfilled life. Change can be uncomfortable but with a strong therapeutic relationship and support it can feel more manageable, empowering, and exciting. The core of my practice is a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, self compassion work, and mindfulness. I am also a registered art therapist allowing for therapeutic exploration through art for clients who are interested.

I love to work with students and young adults. Many of my clients face mood challenges (anxiety and/or depression), career questions, difficulties with relationships and/or the repercussions of early life trauma. Some are high achievers, but feel held back by self-esteem challenges or imposter syndrome. Others are in the process of individuating from their families of origin and benefit from guidance as they find their way in the world as adults. I have great empathy for the stresses of student life as well as a fundamental optimism in our ability to heal and become stronger and healthier with greater self-knowledge and support.

Axis Mundi Center for Mental Health is a not-for-profit 501c3 charitable endeavor that provides affordable therapy and counseling services while seeking to address the growing and dire need for multi-culturally competent clinicians. Axis Mundi Center for Mental Health believes that authenticity is a big part of getting therapy right. We also know that one of the best indicators of therapy success is the rightness of fit between the therapist and the client! That means it's vital for you to have a sense of who we are, and that old models of "invisibility" in a therapist aren't going to contribute to you making a good choice. Our clinicians get that and identify themselves in ways that are personal, genuine, and still respectful and committed to all of the ways that therapy is all about YOU. We are a part of a growing trend in mental health services that acknowledges and seeks to address the need for therapists and counselors who are culturally humble. We are devoted to developing that awareness and skill-set, and are a diverse and growing group of practitioners who offer a variety of approaches to mental wellness…Traditional treatment like CBT and psychodynamic psychotherapy, holistic and somatic therapy methods, indigenous approaches, and spiritual perspectives are all offered. We work on a sliding scale from $30 and up depending on the practitioner. The initial consultation with our intake coordinator is free! We’re here to change and challenge what therapy has meant and who it’s been accessible to. Our group of licensed and pre-licensed clinicians have a varying range of expertise and styles. We invite you to visit our website or reach out for an intake to find folks who feel like a good fit!
We often come to therapy because something in our life has emerged in a way we find challenging to navigate on our own. I approach our work together with this in mind, and as an honored participant in your journey toward growth and deepened insight. My therapeutic style is rooted in relational psychodynamic, IFS, and ACT interventions and centered in values of patience, humility, empathy, and humor. I strive to see you through the lens of your unique life experiences and to work collaboratively so we can effectively address your concerns. My hope is that, together, we can help you live a life that feels authentic and empowered. My experience working with young and emerging adults has allowed me to effectively support people in finding both a work-life balance and relief from stress. My areas of interest and specialization include working with anxiety, depression, interpersonal/relationship issues, grief, family-of-origin concerns, disordered eating, trauma, and self-acceptance. I'm committed to providing therapy to people of all races, gender, sexual orientation, ability, religion, and nationality. I work with adolescents and adults. Welcome to my Psychotherapy Practice. Currently, I am only seeing clients via video conferencing. Primarily, I work with people suffering from anxiety, addictive behaviors and couples in distress. When people seek counseling, they may report anxiety, depression and insecurity. One consistent theme is how often people make decisions that run counter to their desires and well being. Therapy can help us separate from, or gain perspective about, outdated attitudes and behaviors. One profound outcome is that we learn to accept our humanness. For many this has been inconceivable. Acceptance frees up energy to pursue interests. But self-acceptance has little to do with approval by others. Through these conversations, people often discover how current and past relationships influence mood, self-esteem and motivation. Psychotherapy helps us to recognize and detach from emotional reactions that interfere with growth. Psychotherapy, regardless of emphasis, includes an educational element. We learn to self-reflect (gain insight) in the presence of another person. Most of us need help in discovering why we do what we do. Self-reflection gives us a glimpse into our fears and desires. My style of work is active and exploratory. I tend to shy away from being directive though may suggest a focus during the session. I often employ humor or may share personal experience to bring home a point.
I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to seek out a therapist. As social beings, we all need support and at certain times we need it more than ever. Speaking to someone you can open up to and trust, knowing you will not be judged, can really make a difference in navigating emotional turmoil, relationships, stress, anxiety, processing trauma, and making our way through major life transitions. At times we may struggle with larger life questions such as, "Who am I?" and "What is my purpose in life?" I am here to help. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I support clients in healing and overcoming obstacles that prevent them from living freely, authentically, and with deep fulfillment. I have helped people struggling with depression, life-transitions, anxiety, childhood trauma, ADHD, self-esteem, and spiritual/existential concerns. My holistic approach incorporates depth-work, spirituality, and learning new strategies to effectively navigate life. I am certified in Existential-Humanistic Psychotherapy, which facilitates genuine and life lasting changes through a powerful process of self-discovery rooted in compassion and presence. I am a certified Enneagram Facilitator and Yoga Teacher.
