Each person comes to therapy for unique and personal reasons. You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or undervalued in your relationships or career choices. You might be very good at taking care of others, but don’t pay as much attention to yourself. You may not fit into conventional categories with how you identify, or how others relate to you. I am a licensed clinical psychologist who empowers folks like you to connect to their authentic selves and make meaningful changes in their life. I frequently work with graduate students, and specialize in working with underrepresented communities, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients, creative thinkers, artists and activists. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, races, faiths, and abilities.

When you're struggling with an eating disorder, anxiety, or depression, the idea of opening up and trusting another person can be HARD. I know that you've likely heard so many messages throughout your life about what you should do and who you should be, but I don't think that "shoulds" have a place in therapy. Who do you WANT to be? How do you WANT to feel? That is way more important than any shoulds, and I would be honored to walk alongside you as you start to find answers to these questions over time. Together, we can unravel those expectations - what you've been told it means to be healthy or successful or fill in the blank - and get to the heart of what really matters to you and what you need. Being a human is messy, and as your therapist, I'll be right there in that space with you as a human first, therapist second. Let's explore what it means to be humans in a world that expects perfection (which doesn't exist!) and pushes you to grind until you're too burned out to do the things you actually want to do. Whether you realize it today or not, you deserve peace. I have many tools in my toolbox to support you, but to me the most important thing I can do is to provide you a safe space to explore your experience in its entirety at your own pace - to build a connection that is strong enough for you to know that I won't judge you or make you bad or wrong for how you are feeling or for using certain behaviors to cope. It's what you've known to do up to this point, so let's put our heads together and find the ways that this has made sense so we can look at it from a place of compassion instead of judgment. This is a shame-free space! I hold a special place in my heart for those who are working towards eating disorder recovery who feel like they aren't sick enough because their body size, race, sexuality, or gender identity don't match what they are seeing on social media under the eating disorder hashtags. All identities are welcome here, and no matter what your circumstances, your concerns are valid, you ARE sick enough, and you deserve compassionate, equitable care. If anything I've said here makes you think "I like her vibe," please don't hesitate to reach out. I would love to chat further about what it would look like for us to work together.

Are you looking to have a deeper connection with yourself and others? Are you ready for a change? Therapy is about reestablishing a healthy connection with yourself, so you can make conscious and healthy choices. We will identify actionable goals for you to feel a sense of direction. Common areas my clients seek support for are: coping with anxiety and depression symptoms, relocation anxiety, impostor syndrome, relationship issues, body image, and work stress, We will release the old stories and receive a fresh new perspective to move forward. CBT is validated by research and provides results quickly when you’re willing to look within, embrace discomfort, and take action between sessions. If you are feeling lost, stuck, anxious and need to promote balance and well-being, I can help you move through the challenge you face. I offer a safe, non-judgemental and validating approach. **ACCEPTING NEW CIGNA OR CASH CLIENTS** My focus is to provide support for infant massage, children, individuals, couples, parent/child dyadic relations, family systems, or other non-traditional relationships (best friends, co-workers, "trouples", etc.) to find healing and identify each individual's inner strengths and connections. I achieve this by providing a safe "neutral" space, listening to your concerns, identifying rooted issues, and processing to foster growth. I provide various strategies for processing trauma, in addition to traditional talk therapy, such as sand tray, dyadic art, therapeutic play, etc. As a LGBTQ affirming therapist, I am open minded to all walks of life and relationship choices. I am not here to judge your choices. We focus on relational systems and assist each member in creating mindfulness in their choices. We will work on identifying generational patterns that contribute to behaviors and patterns. Our goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. I promise to be there for you every step of your journey, for as long as you will allow me. No Hablo Espanol.

For every challenge there is an opportunity. From the perspective of psychology, this means that the challenges we face can be gateways into a new understanding of ourselves; they are part and parcel of our development as human beings. I would be happy to support you in your development. I work collaboratively with my clients by helping them set realistic goals for our work together and use a variety of engaging or creative methods to support them in developing greater insight into themselves.
