Hi, I'm Amanda and I'm so glad you're here! Chances are if you've made it to my page, you're looking for support through a challenging time, are ready to make some changes, or are hoping to simply maintain a healthy and balanced life. For whatever season of life you're currently in, I'm here to offer care with empathy and compassion. As a licensed therapist and board certified health coach, I have over 10 years of experience supporting clients in the mental health and wellness space. I use strength-based approaches and nervous system awareness in my practice. Holding a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space is at the core of the work I do. In our work together you'll see me pull from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based CBT, Solutions Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Currently, I primarily offer virtual appointments with limited in-person availability. I accept some insurances (Aetna, Anthem, UHC) and if you are out of network I'm happy to supply a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for out-of -network reimbursement. Outside of work, I enjoy comic books, swimming, surfing, spending time in nature with my Goldendoodle, Ziggy Stardust, and watching the Great British Baking Show with my partner.
Greetings from Frank Smith, LMFT. Let me offer a truism: whether positive or negative, most behavior is learned. Behavior often results in patterns. Those patterns can be positive and life affirming. But they can also be maladaptive and impact our happiness and relationships. Do you wonder why can't you break these destructive patterns? I can help you unravel where they came from. Let me be your psychological navigator to help you let go of the past and have a better and more fullling life.

For teens and emerging adults, life often asks: Who am I? What do I want? Where do I belong? How will I know? When will I feel better? I work with clients ages 13–30s through this powerful season of becoming. These are years of identity, relationships, independence, purpose, pressure, change, and learning how to hear your own voice. In a world that can make you question your worth, courage, and vision, my work is to help you recognize what is possible within yourself — and to help parents and caregivers see what may be possible for their family. My approach blends evidence-based mental health care with creativity and self-expression because not everything can be understood through words alone. Hello! I love working with college students and young adults. I am located within walking distance from Chapman University. If you are looking for a therapist with some sass who curses but also knows how to be nurturing, look no further. I consider myself a trauma therapist and I am certified in EMDR and trained in Internal Family Systems at the IFS Institute. I love learning and am often taking new trainings so I can support my clients better. I am very passionate about what I do. Recently, my focus has been on IFS and Polyvagal Theory. IFS is a type of therapy that helps us understand that we have different parts inside of us that conflict with one another at times. It is sort of similar to inner child work although that is a bit reductive. Polyvagal Theory is looking at what is happening in the body, namely the autonomic nervous system. I also really enjoy focusing on attachment and my thesis from when I was in grad school was on attachment.

As an individual who has some life experiences behind her, I understand the value of mental health services, and the importance of finding the right fit. I have a strong background in the field of social work, and appreciate the process of collaboration, being present and accompanying an individual in their journey of well-being. I strive to fully engage with you, not just to hear and to listen, but to be curious and inquisitive, to ask questions and to foster open communication. At the first session, I hope to convey to you that this is a safe and supportive spot to be heard, to speak up, and as we continue to meet, trust will be established. Building trust takes time as we get to know each other and establish rapport. I hope to meet you where you are at, to understand what will make you comfortable as we learn how to communicate. I never rush or apply pressure for you to act a certain way or provide information that you may not feel comfortable sharing. I welcome your questions and to please speak up.
