Please note that my practice is virtual. There are no in-person appointments available. Even after many years of work in the field, I remain amazed and reassured by the resilience and determination of people to make the changes they wish to make and begin to live the lives they genuinely desire. It takes strength and hope to reach out to someone for help with a difficulty. I honor that strength by providing a setting that nurtures those assets while simultaneously supporting the desire to change. Because change is sometimes difficult, I provide a setting that helps individuals explore desired outcomes and build new skills in a safe and confidential environment. I genuinely enjoy witnessing the growth that occurs through psychotherapy and understand that changes often continue to occur long after therapy concludes. The change and growth that transpire are testament to the power of interpersonal relationships. Whether that relationship is therapist-patient, partners or spouses, parent-child, etc., we grow and thrive when our relationships are healthy, including our relationship with our self. With this in mind, my understanding of how people change and grow is rooted in systems and interpersonal process theories. Additionally, I appreciate that difficulties are often multifaceted, having social, psychological, and biological contributing factors. My work springs from this understanding and experience and incorporates behavioral, cognitive, and dynamic interventions as appropriate.

Welcome! I am a trauma-informed, liberation-oriented art therapist offering virtual therapy for young adults in Georgia. I take a systems-based approach to mental health, considering the mind-body connection, the health of relationships, and the impacts of systemic oppression. I advocate for collective liberation as a key aspect of trauma healing and prioritize creating an affirming and accessible space for 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, and disabled or chronically ill folks. As an art therapist, I believe that creating art can help to express emotions, regulate the nervous system, and communicate with the self and others. Options for incorporating art therapy include visual journaling, creating eco-art with natural materials, integrating digital art, making zines, and more. Anyone can benefit from art therapy, regardless of their artistic background, as the focus is on the process and personal reflection, without judgment or pressure to perform! My approach to therapy is holistic and non-pathologizing, incorporating strength-based and person-centered approaches to honor your inner wisdom and celebrate your resilience and growth. I also integrate mindfulness, attachment theory, and somatic practices to support you with finding balance and feeling grounded.

As a psychotherapist, I create a safe space whereby building a relationship, unraveling issues, demystifying oneself, voicing hopes and dreams, and developing wisdom and insight, one can emerge from (and exist in) the forest that is life with a deeper understanding of how to navigate one's mind and the world around us. It is my philosophy that great psychotherapy not only addresses the issues on the table, but also guides one towards greater overall life fulfillment. I have extensive experience is CBT, ACT, psychodynamic and mindfulness approaches working with a variety of populations, mental barriers and social challenges. By developing together the skills of psychological flexibility, I aim to equip you with the skills to successfully endure future hardships on your own in an imperfect world where negative experiences and events are outside of our control. In turn, allowing you to live a life that is gratifying, authentic, rich, purposeful and well-adapted.
