I offer a warm, supportive, nonjudgmental, and collaborative environment in helping you to effectively resolve issues that are troubling you. We will work together to recognize and develop your strengths, to understand and change unhelpful patterns, and to help you gain relief from suffering. I emphasize respect, authenticity, and compassion for self and others. I believe you are the author of your story, and that together we can help you grow and flourish so that you are able to thrive and achieve your goals. I bring experience working in high school, university, community mental health, and veterans’ affairs settings. I have helped people with a variety of life issues, including relationship issues, anxiety, depression, bipolar, trauma recovery, substance use, grief/loss, self-harming behaviors, gender/sexuality concerns, and personality disorders. I offer short- and long-term therapy. I work with individuals across the lifespan from diverse backgrounds including race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, etc. I am the owner and sole provider at Moonstone Psychological Services, LLC in the beautiful Village of WestClay in Carmel, IN.
I welcome diversity in my practice. A majority of my clients identify as being a part of a diverse or minority population. My clients tend to come to therapy looking to feel more comfortable with themselves, explore their identity, or to reduce the stress of everyday life.
Everyone deserves a safe place to explore their thoughts and feelings. I believe clients are the experts in themselves and I provide a safe space to explore thoughts and feelings without judgment. One request I may ask of clients when we work together is that labels like “right” or “wrong” are strongly discouraged in sessions. Letting go of those labels in session is an important part of creating that safe space. The most common struggles of the people I work with include Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, struggles with assertiveness, gray-area substance use, and anger outbursts. The other mindfulness practices can help with managing anxiety, impulsivity, and intrusive thoughts. As your recovery evolves in stages, your treatment will too. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been practicing since 2018. My specialties include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and narrative therapy, as well as other mindfulness practices.
When you are in psychological distress and someone really hears you without passing judgement, without trying to take responsibility, without trying to mold you, the impact can be profound. I strive to be authentic, accepting, and empathetic in the therapeutic relationship to provide a safe space that allows for you to be truly heard. My ideal client is one who is open to doing the difficult work. Yes, if we do the work then life becomes an opportunity to love, and live.
You are trying to hold it all together, but just can’t take it anymore. You’ve hit your breaking point and don’t know what to do. Self-doubt, over-thinking everything, questioning what will make you happy. It seems like everyone else has it figured out, but you can't get it together. This is supposed to be the best time of your life, but you can't seem to enjoy it, and you need help. My name is Jennifer Branstetter, and I help students who are struggling and overwhelmed with their mental health. It might be hard to keep up with school, and maybe this is the first time you've ever struggled academically and you're wondering if something's wrong with you. Anxiety, depression, PTSD, or ADHD symptoms can interfere with forming friendships or having the "college experience" and maybe you're questioning if you made the right school choice. Maybe you aren't connecting socially or feel like you fit in. Sometimes the transition to college can be a lot harder than expected, or something like a breakup can throw you for a loop. It's common for students in this situation to feel an immense amount of pressure. Sometimes it feels like you can't talk to anyone else about it. Therapy can be a place to get it all out, figure out what is contributing to the problem, and come up with a plan to get better. It's time to get some support. You don't have to do this alone. My practice has been virtual since 2018 from my home office in Southeast Indiana, outside of Cincinnati. I see people in Indiana, Ohio, and Florida. If you have a therapist at home, I'd be happy to connect with them to make the transition easier, and stay on the same page if you see them on breaks. I can also help connect you with on-campus resources or medication providers if needed. Reach out to schedule a call to see if we're a good fit.

I offer a warm, flexible, and low-pressure space where clients can show up exactly as they are. I honor sensory needs and nervous system responses, incorporating mindfulness practices to bring gentle awareness to our experiences. I often use somatic strategies to support connection and foster a sense of safety that is essential for growth. My background includes training in a wide range of approaches from traditional talk therapy to play-based modalities. I’m especially passionate about working with clients who may feel misunderstood or overwhelmed by conventional models of therapy. Clients can expect to feel supported and encouraged without pressure or judgment. I aim to co-create a space that feels steady and grounded. Whether we’re working through emotional regulation, identity, relationships, or everyday overwhelm, therapy can be a space for you. It can feel overwhelming to know where to start, but reaching out is the first step.
