We all need someone to talk to at times, and I have dedicated my career to being that person for others. As a LCSW, I have over 6 years of experience. I enjoy working with teens and young adults to help with problems adjusting to life’s changes, relationship issues, unhealthy boundaries with family, friends and/or others, and poor self-esteem and self-worth. One of my aims is to build a compassionate and relaxed environment for clients to open up and collaborate to realize and accomplish goals. A large part of my practice has been in the treatment of grief and loss, trauma and healing, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. We will work using different techniques such as, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I like to build on strengths that patients already possess but may not see. My style is laid back and client centered. I have a strong sense of compassion and commitment to helping others and understand that, for some, beginning counseling may be a difficult decision. I will meet you where you are to get you where you want to be. Let’s work together to improve life and start thriving!

As a counselor, I believe my role is to come alongside you in this journey, providing you with a warm and supportive space in which we can work together. My goal is to empower you to gain insight, align your life to your values, build new skills, and find a holistic sense of balance in life. My approach to counseling involves integrating techniques from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed therapy. I also offer faith-based, Christian counseling for those who desire to integrate Biblical truth and beliefs into their therapeutic journey.

My favorite part of therapy is talking things out with an empathic therapist and then returning to session the following week and sharing how my new knowledge/strategy/skill worked out for me. I am happy to suggest goals, ideas, strategies, skills, or resources depending on your need. Or I am happy to listen to you while you work out your own thoughts & feelings.

Do you find yourself struggling with negative beliefs or finding it difficult to let go of past experiences? I specialize in helping college students navigate the unique challenges and transitions that come with academic life. Whether you're dealing with stress from classes, anxiety about the future, relationship issues, or personal struggles, I provide a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings. College is an exciting time, but it can also be overwhelming. The pressure to succeed academically, socially, and personally can take a toll on your mental health. I’m here to help you develop coping strategies, manage stress, and gain clarity on what’s most important to you. I am trained in EMDR, DBT, and CBT. I like to use somatic interventions to help clients reprocess traumatic memories, explore their inner emotional landscape and work through beliefs that can become stuck points in traditional talk therapy. You can expect to gain a deeper understanding of your emotions and the parts that make up your personality, relief from symptoms, and increased emotional resilience.

Looking through endless therapist profiles can be exhausting when you're already struggling. Let me make this simple: I don't sugarcoat things. I'm here to actively work with you, not just listen and nod like a sounding board. Working together, we can actually change what's not working by developing practical skills that are effective and easy to use. I work well with all kinds of people, and I especially click with gamers, students, and musicians - shared interests tend to lead to a better therapeutic connection. You're stuck, but not broken. I help with anxiety, depression, and substance use with practical approaches: harm reduction perspectives, CBT/DBT techniques, and mindfulness-based stress reduction. Whether you're dealing with social anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, burnout, or school stress, we'll build tools that will work specifically for you. Even though whatever hurdle you are trying to overcome may seem impossible, part of you knows something needs to change. Whether it's anxiety, substance use, depression, or feeling stuck - taking the first step is hard, but necessary. I offer free consultations to see if we're a good fit. Everyone deserves a safe place to explore their thoughts and feelings. I believe clients are the experts in themselves and I provide a safe space to explore thoughts and feelings without judgment. One request I may ask of clients when we work together is that labels like “right” or “wrong” are strongly discouraged in sessions. Letting go of those labels in session is an important part of creating that safe space. The most common struggles of the people I work with include Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, struggles with assertiveness, gray-area substance use, and anger outbursts. The other mindfulness practices can help with managing anxiety, impulsivity, and intrusive thoughts. As your recovery evolves in stages, your treatment will too. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been practicing since 2018. My specialties include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and narrative therapy, as well as other mindfulness practices.
