Each of us benefits from having someone to really listen to us and help us learn and grow to become more able to advocate for that which we need to find our balance. I am certified in perinatal mental health and I have experience working with women struggling with postpartum, infertility, perinatal loss and with those navigating medical/special needs parenting. I am passionate about working with women around their unique challenges. I walk alongside my clients as they process their feelings and learn ways to communicate and cope during difficult times. Helping clients fill their “toolbox” using various modalities to build skills to cope and change how they think about various relationships and situations. Learning balance in life between work and home and helping others and self care is important in the healing process. Helping provide resources to assist clients on their journey. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate the challenges you are facing. Please reach out to determine if we would be a good fit.

Drug & Alcohol Counselor

Roswell, NM

**Weekday, Evening and Weekend Appointments Available** **Now seeing clients in Massachusetts and New Mexico** Are you caught up in a seemingly endless cycle of addiction to alcohol or drugs? Well, I have good news and bad news for you. Let’s start with the bad news: it takes significant effort to stop addictive behaviors, and to address the underlying emotional or trauma issues that compel you to relapse over and over again. There’s no magic wand, no Abracadabra. Now the good news: The cycle doesn’t have to be endless. Recovery is possible! I have 25 years experience working in the addictions and mental health treatment field--in settings ranging from group homes to treatment centers. I authored a workbook on Mindfulness-Based Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. I also specialize in teaching coping skills for trauma and emotions that tend to drive us back to our addictive behaviors. My approach is eclectic, client-centered, empathic, and goal-directed. I can help you chart a path to sobriety and wellness, and to begin to address the underlying reasons behind self-defeating behaviors or troubling emotions in the here and now. I offer virtual appointments.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
In-Person & Online
Mesa, AZ

The students who tend to find their way to me have usually already tried something - a therapist, a medication, maybe both, and it helped a little, or not at all, or worked for a while and then stopped. They're not starting from scratch. They're starting from tired. I work well with students who look fine on the outside but are running on empty internally. Students who've been told they have anxiety when what they actually have is undiagnosed ADHD that's been burning through their reserves for years. Students with depression that hasn't responded to standard antidepressants and who need someone willing to look further. Students with OCD who've spent years being misunderstood or only partially treated. I'm a psychiatric nurse practitioner, which means I do evaluations and medication management — I'm not a therapist. What makes my approach different is that I look at the full picture before making any recommendations: your history, what you've already tried, your sleep, your biology, whether there might be a different explanation for what you're experiencing than the one you've been given. I see students via telehealth in Arizona, Massachusetts, and Washington, and in person at my Mesa, AZ office. I'm also licensed in Colorado, New Mexico, Rhode Island, and Vermont if you're in one of those states. Most major insurance accepted, including many student health plans. New patients usually seen within a few days. Booking: https://mindgardenmhs.intakeq.com/booking

Licensed Mental Health Counselor
In-Person & Online
New York, NY

My work in counseling psychology emerged from being an artist. While earning my BFA at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, I was invited into my colleagues’ lives and learned to share their experiences through their lenses and perceptions. Graduate training at NYU sharpened this insight to bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic process. I provide feedback and reflection—infused with a dose of humor—in a warm, safe, and trusting atmosphere. My approach is both interactive and direct. I ask my clients to challenge themselves to be completely open and honest and share in a way that might feel like they’re ‘telling on themselves.’ Significant change and healing can only really begin with the whole truth. Believing strongly that the integration between mind and body leads to greater mental health, I encourage clients to incorporate physical activity and other treatment modalities: yoga, art, working out, running, massage, pets, acupuncture, meditation, medication, vacation, etc.

When life feels overwhelming, you don't have to navigate it alone. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy for anxiety, depression, PTSD, life transitions, and relationship and family concerns. I believe therapy begins with feeling genuinely heard. Together, we’ll create a safe, nonjudgmental space to understand what you’re experiencing, build on your strengths, and move toward meaningful change. Your experiences, values, and goals guide our work. I’ll listen carefully to understand your concerns and collaborate with you on a treatment plan tailored to your needs, using approaches such as CBT, DBT, somatic practices, and strengths-based therapy. Therapy should feel collaborative, supportive, and purposeful. Sessions are structured yet flexible, with room for reflection, skill-building, and honest conversation. I welcome your feedback and regularly check in to ensure our work remains helpful and aligned with your goals.

College can be exciting - and also overwhelming, lonely, and nothing like you expected. I work well with students navigating anxiety, perfectionism, relationship or family stress, identity questions, low self-esteem, academic pressure, and major life transitions. You might look like you’re doing fine while privately feeling stuck, exhausted, uncertain, or like everyone else has somehow figured out something you haven’t. Therapy can be a place to understand yourself better, build practical ways to cope, and figure out what you actually want your life and relationships to look like. My style is warm, curious, collaborative, and down-to-earth; you don’t need to have everything figured out before you show up.

Life is a multifaceted journey. Sometimes we need help along the way. That's where I come in! *providing telehealth services* You are valid. Your feelings are valid. You are not crazy. You most certainly are not broken. I offer you all a place to feel safe, heard, and validated. I am not the authority on your life but am an outside perspective. I want to treat you like a person, not a number on a page. I value open and honest communication. I will not suggest a course of treatment that I have not researched or tried on myself. I value the use of self-disclosure if it will in turn benefit your healing process. I have spent time engaging in intensive family treatment in homes and individual work through my private practice. I am open and honest and provide individualistic treatment to everyone who decides to work with me. I want to be a tool that is used to provide some help.

People seek counseling / therapy for many reasons - to gain understanding and insights, make changes, process experiences, for support and encouragement, and many others. Whether you are looking for a safe place to discuss whatever is on your mind, are interested in making life changes, or just want to give therapy a try, I welcome the opportunity to meet with you and see how I may be able to help. You can count on me to be reliable, truthful, and kind. My approach to therapy recognizes the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship. I identify as queer and specialize in working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. I am an affirming practitioner. I have over 20 years of experience working with college and graduate students in college counseling centers, and as a result I've had the privilege of working with many people from all around the world. My therapeutic approach is culturally informed and integrates a whole-person perspective along with socio-cultural/political awareness and acknowledgement of the impact of systemic barriers on functioning. I am mindful of my own areas of privilege and how I show up in spaces and may be perceived by others. I attend to how I perceive others based on my own life experiences. I'm always working to educate myself and challenge my assumptions and biases. I read, try to keep up on the news (around the world, not just in the U.S.), and try to engage in conversations with people from various backgrounds. If you would like to have a brief, introductory conversation to discuss what you are looking for and how I may be able to help, please give me a call or send an email. An initial screening consultation is free. I look forward to hearing from you.

Right now you may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, burnout, or just feeling “stuck.” Maybe you struggle with overthinking, difficulty sleeping, worrying about the future, self-doubt, feeling unmotivated, or unsure of your next step forward. If you’re finding it harder to quiet your thoughts, juggling competing demands, or feeling like you’re holding it together on the outside while struggling when no one is looking, therapy can be a place to pause, make sense of what’s happening, and reconnect with clarity. I’m here to really listen to you and be by your side, helping you to cultivate the change that you want in your life. Therapy should feel collaborative, safe, and empowering. I bring in a variety of evidenced-based therapy frameworks personalized to your needs, along with compassion and humor into sessions. We’ll sort through what feels hard, learn healthy ways to cope with emotions, and rewrite unhelpful patterns to develop healthier relationships with others and yourself. Imagine what your life will look like when you’ve gotten what you needed in therapy. Lets make that happen together. It really is possible for you to overcome what you’re going through with help from an experienced therapist.
