Are you caught up in OCD, anxiety, perfectionism, or a phobia that is preventing you from living life on your own terms? Do you feel stuck in your own mind and overwhelmed by simply getting through the day? I am passionate about helping older teens and adults get unstuck from unhelpful "stuff." I offer individual therapy for motivated people who are tired of accommodating their OCD or phobia, can't avoid their anxiety any longer, and are sick of being trapped in their own thoughts. Our sessions together can be a space of exploration, personal development, confidence-building, and healing. I am accepting new clients in MA (in-person & virtual), ME (virtual), & CT (virtual). I use a collaborative, exploratory, and genuine approach to help you feel heard, safe, and encouraged. I have specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-based Cognitive Behavior Therapy for OCD (I-CBT). Let's work together to develop a plan to improve your quality of life. While this will mean confronting uncertainty, acknowledging fears, and changing behavioral patterns, the goal is to bring you closer to living the life you deserve. We will take this one step at a time, together. If you're curious to learn more, I encourage you to reach out. Let’s chat!

College can feel like a mix of excitement and pressure all at once. Between academics, relationships, figuring out who you are, and trying to keep up with everything, it’s really easy to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or like you’re just barely holding it together. In therapy, I try to create a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. We slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and work together to find ways to feel more grounded and more like yourself again. I really believe people already have strengths in them, even if it doesn’t feel accessible in the moment. My job is to help you reconnect with those strengths and figure out how to use them in real life, especially during stressful or confusing seasons. I work with college students and adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, trauma, and big life transitions. I use approaches like CBT, mindfulness, and body-based (somatic) work to help you understand what you’re feeling and actually shift it in a practical, supportive way. My fee for a 50-minute session is $180. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots ($90–$100) to help make therapy more accessible.

I bring over 25 years of experience supporting young adults through major life transitions, mental health challenges, and the everyday complexities of college life. For nearly two decades, I’ve worked at Boston College as an Associate Dean and instructor, helping students navigate academic pressure, identity development, and moments of uncertainty with compassion and clarity. I also understand the university system deeply, which allows me to help students who are coping with mental health challenges access campus supports while we work together on their therapeutic goals. My clinical work is grounded in evidence‑based, trauma‑informed approaches and a strong belief in students’ resilience. Sessions are thoughtful, personalized, and goal oriented. In our work together, I will create a space where you can understand what you’re experiencing, build on your strengths, and move through college with greater clarity and support.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over ten years of experience. My areas of specialty include: depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, conflicts around cultural identity, life transitions, and academic and career struggles. I am particularly interested in helping clients who face conflicts around their race, culture, and identity. I work pragmatically and collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals. I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL where I received the Walter Burke Award in Clinical Excellence and a Distinction of Honors on my Ph.D. Comprehensive Qualifying Paper. At Northwestern, I trained in psychodynamic and dialectical behavioral therapy and published several research papers on juvenile detainees and violence in persons with severe mental illness in peer-reviewed journals. I completed my internship at the Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, NY where I treated adolescents, families, and adults in outpatient clinics, a Psychiatric Emergency Room, and on an adult inpatient unit. Afterward, I worked as an individual and group psychotherapist and clinical supervisor at the counseling center at Fordham University in the Bronx, NY. At Fordham, I was also the outreach coordinator in which I regularly interacted with marginalized students on campus. Therapy is about seeking balance and asking questions and looking for answers. Finding a balance between what we feel and what we know and a balance between the quicker emotional side of our mind and the more considered rational side are part of the process. Whether the questions are around school, interpersonal relationships, substance abuse, or career and motivation the answers will come only with this balance. My approach to therapy is about solving problems based on a relational and collaborative approach offering a supportive and sympathetic ear balanced with reality and solutions. With nearly 25 years of experience in the field I bring a diverse background giving me strong clinical skills in the areas of substance abuse, depression, anxiety, career and family issues. Life is a series of experiments, some good some not so good. Therapy is a way to sort out the good from the bad and, giving yourself credit for what you know and can do and putting it to work for a better tomorrow I invite you to give me a call at 617-524-1220 To protect your privacy my phone is a confidential landline which does NOT accept text messages
