I work primarily with those suffering from chronic illness. Difficult to treat medical conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic Lyme disease, multiple sclerosis, Lupus, etc. are often poorly understood, and it can be very difficult for patients to find the help and support they need. I teach my clients tools for coping with and managing every day life with these conditions, in addition to mind body medicine practices to help alleviate symptoms and to decrease stress. I have recently started offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy as a way to cope with life stressors or trauma.

In my practice, I work with a diverse range of clients, each bringing unique stories, strengths, and challenges. Trauma can surface in many forms such as anxiety, self-doubt, or difficulty feeling safe in relationships or within oneself. My work focuses on creating a space rooted in safety, empowerment, and emotional insight, where you can begin to reconnect with yourself. My holistic, trauma-informed, and individualized approach draws from modalities including DBT, IFS, and CBT. Together, we will reframe unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen emotion regulation, and cultivate healthier coping skills. Through a strength-based and solution-focused lens, I help clients nurture the parts of themselves that need healing, foster self-compassion, and build a more positive sense of self and overall well-being. No matter where you are on your journey, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I bring warmth, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping you build resilience, deepen self-connection, and move toward thriving.

Welcome! I offer clinical treatment to people experiencing trauma, mood disorders, & issues of identity (race, gender, sexuality, culture). I am South Asian, queer, and genderqueer (they/them). I am also an artist, and happy to incorporate creativity into our work together. No pressure, though! Traumatic experiences have a way of shackling themselves to the body, whether they are accumulated over time or single incidents which compromised our safety. We seek to protect ourselves from a world that has failed to protect us, often coping in ways that hurt in the long run. In our work together we will identify sources of pain, the impact they have on your life, & determine ways to reclaim power so that your body becomes a place of safety rather than a site of trauma. Come as you are. My goal is to be both a gentle witness and an ally, helping you to find & stand in your power, identifying disparities & restoring balance in your life. I believe you are here because you are ready to value & give yourself a chance to shape your future with your own hands. I couldn't be more hopeful for you.

My experience spans community health, universities, private practice, and leading medical centers including McLean Hospital and MGH. I specialize in medication management for adults navigating depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. I have advanced training serving LGBTQIA+ populations and I’m a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. Whether you're new to medication or re-evaluating your regimen, I offer thorough, individualized care. All appointments are telehealth, making care accessible wherever you are in Massachusetts. I prioritize clear communication and collaboration- you'll always understand your treatment plan and have a voice in shaping it. My degree is from Northeastern University where I graduated with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and became Licensed in 1996. Most recently, I was the Director of Psychology for Wrentham Developmental Center and an Area Psychologist for the Department of Developmental Services. Previously, I had my own private practice where I facilitated numerous social groups, provided individual and family therapy, and served as a Consultant to Cranston ARC, and Bristol Community College. In joining Needham Psychotherapy Associates, I am returning to my passion for clinical work. My approach would be considered eclectic, involving systems work, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, positive behavioral supports, and psychodynamic or insight-oriented work. In my view, the modality of therapy is often determined by the issues that one presents with as well as the style and comfort level of both the therapist and the client. It is important to me that the process of therapy is collaborative, sometimes humorous, and that clients are empowered to make choices in the course of their treatment. Simultaneously, I think there are times when clients need to be challenged to make further growth and progress. I love stories and the stories of people’s lives. In therapy, my style would involve asking a lot of open-ended questions to learn more about your story and your journey. Therapy should involve clients feeling, safe, challenged, and learning strategies and approaches to handle your problems more effectively. In the end, ideally clients will feel better about themselves and their world. Most definitely, I believe that there are times that clients should laugh in therapy, as humor and laughing are an important part of healing. I love working with young adults and the new ways they have of looking at the world as well as helping them navigate their present challenges and future transitions.
Hi, my name is Hang (she/they) and I specialize in psychotherapy and life coaching. **I am currently ONLY accepting new clients for teletherapy.** I am collaborative, warm, and energetic, and social justice guides my work. Prior to private practice, I worked in a college counseling center and specialized in working with first-generation college students, students of color, LGBTQ students, students who are immigrants or are children of immigrants, and international students. Treatment goals are collaboratively set with options for short-term or long-term therapy. I specialize in working with clients dealing with the stresses of intersectional identities, particularly clients who identify as women, non-binary, LGBTQ, refugees, immigrants, and/or of color. Other areas of expertise include: anxiety, depression, complex/developmental trauma, self-esteem, assertiveness, and relationship issues. As a therapist, I am authentic, warm, collaborative, and can gently confront if needed. Life Coaching is present- and future-focused and solution-focused. Life coaching sessions are usually short-term and are scheduled depending on specific goals. As a life coach, I strive to be your most thoughtful collaborator, most compassionate sounding board, and loudest cheerleader.
It can be hard to know when to call a therapist. Have you found yourself thinking the below thoughts? -There is something wrong with me -I don't understand the way I am feeling -No one understands me -This isn't supposed to be the way my college experience is -I just can't handle these feelings of sadness/stress/anxiety If so, it sounds like you could benefit from talking to a therapist. Life is hard and therapy can be an effective tool to help navigate life's difficulties. As your therapist, I will sit with you and listen as you share your struggles and we will make sense of things. Together, we can figure out how you are unintentionally "getting in your own way" and also recognize the ways you are helping yourself thrive (but perhaps hadn't even realized it!). I'll teach you about your emotions, the mind-body connection and the relationship between thoughts-feelings-behaviors. This information will help you learn new and better ways to help yourself when you are feeling overwhelmed with your emotions and life challenges. Sounds like this could be helpful? Send me an email, we can schedule a 15 min phone call where I can answer your questions and we can get started.
Occupational therapy: Occupational therapists (OTs) work with individuals to engage in their meaningful activities. These activities can include self-care, leisure and social participation, work, school, household management, and other responsibilities. OTs provide interventions focused on skill-building, as well as finding environmental and activity adaptations, to best support an individual’s occupational engagement. Our practice focuses on supporting clients with routine and responsibility management, coping with stress and emotions, leisure and social engagement, and life skills/transition to adulthood. We work with youth (16+) and adults managing mental health conditions, executive functioning difficulties, and challenges navigating one’s daily life.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who trained at George Washington University and at Harvard University. I provide individual therapy for adults as well as couples therapy. I utilize psychodynamic/psychoanalytic perspectives in order to best understand my clients. I have worked with clients struggling with various issues such as depression and anxiety, low self-esteem, college/graduate school stress and relationship/family difficulties. I provide an empathetic, supportive, and interactive environment whereby together, the client and I can explore conflicts with the ultimate goal of reducing unpleasant thoughts and/or painful feelings. I view therapy as a process of not only working in the present, but also uncovering the past, allowing for the development of insight and awareness into one's patterns of thought and behavior. I have a particular interest in working with college students, graduate students, law students and attorneys. I am a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, whereby I teach and supervise doctoral students. I am currently only working via telehealth.
