My name is Rebecca Razumny, and I’m both a licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in Massachusetts. I specialize in working with adolescent girls and adult women diagnosed with ADHD and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder—particularly those who have spent years masking, struggling with executive functioning, and navigating chronic emotional overwhelm. I launched my virtual private practice in 2022 and currently offer both individual and group counseling through telehealth. My therapeutic approach blends clinical insight, neurodivergent-affirming care, and behavior science. I work extensively with women who are coming to terms with a recent diagnosis, burnout from masking, academic anxiety, and difficulties with social-emotional regulation. My goal is to support my clients in reconnecting with their authentic identity and building sustainable strategies for success. I’m currently accepting new clients and offer a free 15-minute consultation to ensure a strong clinical fit. I accept most major insurance plans as well as private pay.

As a psychotherapist and life coach I am trained primarily in a psychodynamic approach as well as in exercise physiology. I understand how the mind, body and emotions are interconnected. When we are physically attuned, we are able to access deeper parts of ourselves. These parts may be limiting due to old beliefs, negative behavior patterns or confusing emotions. Sometimes all three! Also, I bring to our work, years of coaching collegiate student athletes in team sports as well as in fitness and wellness.
I enjoy providing a compassionate, emotionally-attuned space for you to understand how earlier life experiences have influenced your thoughts, feelings and behaviors- whether you are embarking on your own self-discovery journey, navigating a difficult life transition, processing a painful past experience, or managing persistent thoughts and feelings that you are unsure how to change. Drawing from my own experience as a first-generation queer Latinx, I strive to create an accessible, inclusive and validating space in which you can explore your own authenticity and cultivate your own empowerment. I work with you to integrate your physical and cognitive experiences- identifying patterns that stand in the way of the life you desire. In addition, I utilize EMDR, CBT and solution-focused techniques to support your transition from thought to action.
Do you feel overwhelmed by anxiety, burdened by familial dynamics, or stuck in patterns that hold you back from feeling at peace and grounded in yourself? I'm here help. Teens and adults come to me to improve their mental health via insight-oriented therapy. Clients consider how the past affects current functioning, to then inform how they will create change. College is a challenge, on its own, in many ways. It can cause significant stress as well as trigger new or exacerbate existing mental health symptoms. Having space to work through the stress or symptoms you are experiencing can be incredibly beneficial (e.g. reduced stress, increased happiness, decrease in symptoms and/or severity, etc.), which can contribute to greater success and a greater overall experience during these years. I believe in creating a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental, and confidential therapy space that respects all identities and backgrounds where people can feel free to be their most authentic selves. I strive for people to feel comfortable in letting go of filters that tend to restrict them in honest disclosure and deep processing of their experiences. Thank you for taking the time to read about the practice and considering Sage Serenity Counseling. Please reach out if you have questions or would like to get started. I am ready to support you whenever you are ready!
Lighthouse Counseling & Sand Play Training Center is an outpatient facility providing support through scheduled appointments only for families, children, couples, and individuals. We also offer workshops and groups for individuals seeking community and support. Sand Play therapy allows the person to tap into the psyche. Through the use of symbolic figures, a person is able to create in the sand tray stories which examine their wounds, the effects from those wounds, and the possibilities for resolution. The practitioner is then able to help a person to connect insights to feelings and begin the journey toward healing. Through Sand Play, the adult client is able to build the skills necessary to avoid the problematic patterns of the past. Children’s thoughts and feelings are given a voice through symbolic play, enabling them to resolve their issues in a language they understand. “Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) integrates elements of many effective psychotherapies in structured protocols that are designed to maximize treatment effects. These include psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, experiential, and body-centered therapies. EMDR is an information processing therapy and uses an eight phase approach ….After EMDR processing, clients generally report that the emotional distress related to the memory has been eliminated, or greatly decreased and that they have gained important cognitive insights. Importantly, these emotional and cognitive changes usually result in spontaneous behavioral and personal change, which are further enhanced with standard EMDR procedures.” The development of the addictive personality is not an overnight event. Often times, an addicted person will have a history of trauma and grief. It is critical to have a comprehensive treatment plan with a therapist who specializes in addictions work in order to make a full recovery. We treat addictions to illegal drugs, alcohol and prescription medications as well as sexual addictions.
It's important to me to be someone my clients can trust to be nonjudgemental, validating, and interested in understanding them better. I hope to support clients in exploring their values and relationships; increasing feelings of self-esteem and self-efficacy; building skills to cope with distress and pain; and recovering from experiences of trauma and invalidation. I particularly enjoy working with clients who identify as highly sensitive or who experience emotional intensity.
