I am a Clinical Psychologist and a psychoanalyst, specializing in work with individuals suffering from mood disorders, addiction, trauma, and identity issues. I have a sensitivity for the dilemmas of young adults as they struggle to find "true self" expression integrated with the demands for compromise and conformity they face, both externally and internally. It takes courage to explore different healing pathways. I am glad you are exploring options that are supportive to you. I strongly believe we all deserve healing and safe spaces. I believe we can collaborate and create this space for you. My therapeutic approach can be described by the words from R. Dass: “We are all just walking each other home” in our journey towards wholeness. I understand my role as a clinical social worker is to accompany individuals in their own inner healing and discovery of their own resiliency. I am committed to a trauma-informed and anti-oppression practice. My therapeutic practice embodies caring for the whole person (mind-body-spirit). I have a specialized interest in integrating individuals’ deepest spiritual or cultural practices and engaging in nature based healing. It is a privilege and gift to co-create healing spaces together. Since I have had ten years experience in a hospital setting, I can offer specialized treatments in traumatic stress and vicarious trauma on care providers. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness-Based Practice. It can be challenging to find a therapist that is a good fit. If you think we may be a good fit, then please feel free to reach out so we can schedule a brief initial phone consultation to discuss goals and hopes.

Life's challenges can leave us feeling off-balance. As a therapist, I offer a warm, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect and begin to reconnect with yourself as you navigate anxiety, burnout and life transitions. I work closely with individuals from early to late adulthood. I often work with first-generation high achievers who carry strong internal pressure to succeed, manage high expectations and navigate what it means to be “the first” in their family or community. These experiences can bring pride but also anxiety, perfectionism, burnout and a sense of disconnection or uncertainty about where you’re headed. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, career uncertainty, relationship challenges or major life transitions, including midlife and aging-related changes such as shifting roles, identity questions and reassessing priorities over time. My approach is collaborative, transparent and grounded in trauma-informed and evidence-based practices. I draw from CBT, mindfulness and insight-oriented frameworks always tailoring therapy to your unique experiences and goals. I aim to help you develop practical strategies while also deepening your self-understanding so that change feels meaningful and sustainable. At Equilibria Counseling, we strive to create a space where you can show up as you are.

I work primarily with those suffering from chronic illness. Difficult to treat medical conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic Lyme disease, multiple sclerosis, Lupus, etc. are often poorly understood, and it can be very difficult for patients to find the help and support they need. I teach my clients tools for coping with and managing every day life with these conditions, in addition to mind body medicine practices to help alleviate symptoms and to decrease stress. I have recently started offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy as a way to cope with life stressors or trauma.

College can be exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between. I specialize in working with college and graduate students who are navigating anxiety, academic stress, relationship challenges, identity exploration, life transitions, and the pressure to “have it all figured out.” Whether you’re adjusting to campus life, managing perfectionism, struggling with motivation, or feeling stuck, therapy can be a space to slow down and make sense of what you’re carrying. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical. You are the common denominator in your life, my aim is to help you navigate and understand the deeper patterns that shape your experience. My role is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move through this time in your life with more clarity and confidence.

Hello! Thank you for your interest in starting therapy. I have a lot of experience supporting college and advanced degree students who are dealing with anxiety, OCD, and stress. I take a CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), goals-focused approach. I am licensed in Massachusetts and New York and I can see students in either state--in fact, I work with a number of students who go to school in MA but live in NY when they are not on campus and vice versa. I'd be happy to set up a time to talk so you can ask any questions that you have to see if it would be a good fit for you.

I help clients navigate identity exploration, trauma, grief, relationship challenges (familial or intimate), and major life transitions—like adjusting to adulthood or stepping into a more authentic sense of self. These liminal, in-between stages can be tricky to navigate and are often marked by anxiety, depression, or a fragmented sense of self, leaving folks feeling emotionally untethered. While we must lead ourselves to authenticity, it can help to have a thoughtful, attuned guide who walks alongside us—offering new perspectives, practical coping skills, and questions that gently challenge deep-rooted assumptions. I enjoy working with young adults on the precipice of independence, older adults facing aging-related transitions, couples, and folks with marginalized or liminal (Biracial, Bicultural, nonbinary, genderqueer, etc.) identities. Together, we reduce fear, shame, and relational distress, while cultivating authenticity, inner wisdom, and emotional resilience. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable and unfamiliar. If you're unsure whether we'd be a good fit, I'm happy to meet with you, answer any questions, and elaborate on my approach to therapy. You're not alone in taking this first step—and you don’t have to do it without support. I provide therapy through Intersect Clinical Services, a preferred provider for Boston-area students. We accept UHC StudentResources and Aetna Student Health with minimal or no out-of-pocket costs.

I am a client-centered psychologist who works with adults and adolescents (13+). I believe therapy should involve the whole person - including our internal, social, societal, spiritual, and physical selves. I invite clients to be collaborators in finding and exploring what will help them achieve growth. I provide a warm, inclusive, and nonjudgmental environment and believe a strong client-therapist relationship is essential for growth and change. I help patients/clients address a range of concerns including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use struggles, difficulties in relationships, grief/loss, identifying life goals, navigating life transitions, and balancing work-life demands. I received my training at William James College (Newton, MA). Trained with Advocates Community Counseling, Rutgers University College Counseling, and Boston Behavioral Medicine. I completed a post-doctoral behavioral health fellowship at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates and worked there as a staff psychologist until October 2019. Sometimes we find ourselves feeling stuck, unhappy, or confused. We may be aware of a sense of unease, as if something is not quite right. Therapy can provide clarity and tools to help you navigate difficult emotions. It’s important to know that we can learn to think and feel differently. I provide a safe space where clients feel seen, heard, and truly validated. I believe in the gentle balance of being both compassionate and direct to help facilitate growth and healing. Through encouragement, compassion and insight, my goal is to help you develop a deeper sense of joy and greater agency over your life. My background includes helping individuals who find themselves in challenging situations arising from depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, and addiction. I have formal training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and am also a Tobacco Treatment Specialist. I incorporate modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness into my treatment so that I can help clients make the most of their therapy and reach their full potential.

I am a Mental Health Counselor, practicing in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and the founder of Self First Counseling, PLLC. I have had the pleasure to work with a range of individuals across my career. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University in Behavior and Health and later received my Master of Science degree at Salem State University in Mental Health Counseling Psychology. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, alcohol use, stress, and relationship/family issues. I am a certified clinician and supervisor in the Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (A-CRA), an evidence based approach to working with adolescents and young adults who struggle with substance use. My approach to counseling is client centered. I believe it is important to meet my clients where they are at and collaborate around goals of counseling. I have previous experience working in settings such as residential programs, intensive in-home services, and within medical settings. I find it important to build an alliance with my clients where we can work together and I can support my clients in making strides towards completing their identified goals. I believe strongly in highlighting strengths and keeping a strength-based attitude throughout treatment. I believe that we are all unique and, therefore, one technique does not fit all. I feel strongly that counseling can support us when we are in a difficult place, but also when we are doing well. It’s important to have support from others and be able to continue to make progress so we can always be a better version of ourselves than we were the day before. Set-backs and struggles are all a part of life, change, and success. I am here to provide education, support, validation, encouragement, and new ideas in order to help my clients achieve the success and change they are looking for. Your journey of self starts here.
