I'm a clinical psychologist, and I see college students and adults in my office in Belmont Center and via telehealth. I see people with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and trauma. In addition, I run dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills training groups for college students, and for young adults in their 20s and 30s, to learn and practice new coping skills. I trained at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School and I'm currently affiliated with Brigham and Women's Hospital. Overall my goal as a therapist is to work collaboratively to expand your self-understanding and support you in developing new strategies to relieve suffering, improve relationships, and build a life that feels meaningful to you. I offer a free 15 minute introductory phone call. I'm happy to talk with anyone who may be interested in learning more about my practice and seeing if we might be a good fit.
Neesi is an LCSW and a therapist. She works predominantly with adults and a few teens. Neesi is currently looking for clients who wish to primarily meet in-person, with occasional virtual meetings. Some of the typical concerns she works with folx on are romantic relationships, stress management, anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, spirituality, and communicating boundaries with one's parents. LGBTQ folx of all colors (white/BIPOC/etc) are welcome to request therapy, including those who are "questioning." Please mention any RELEVANT identities you have when messaging her. Thank you! Neesi’s approach is strengths-based, warm, and collaborative. She believes in meeting people where they are and listening to their story. September 2025 update: I have very limited availability for in-person sessions, but a little more availability for online sessions. I'll help you to become aware of your painful feelings and to learn to tolerate them, so that you're free to make choices instead of just reacting to life. I am a licensed, independent social worker. I have worked my way up to the management level of an agency, but interacting directly with clients is what I enjoy most. I have experience working with clients who have many different types of concerns, such as eating disorders, anxiety, depression, addiction, and interpersonal problems. I tailor my treatment approaches to the needs and wants of my clients. (If you have some knowledge of treatment approaches, these approaches include psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and motivational interviewing approaches). Besides my Master's in Social Work, I also have a PhD in English, so I am particularly interested in helping clients to use their reading or writing as therapy.

Suffering is a part of being human—whether it's grief, trauma, stress, or the quiet ache of loneliness. While we can’t always avoid pain, we can choose not to face it alone. I believe in creating a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as we work through life’s challenges together. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College, where I completed the Child & Family Mental Health and Wellness Concentration. As someone who was raised in a different culture and now practices in the U.S. as an international therapist, I bring a culturally sensitive lens to therapy that values and integrates diverse worldviews. I’ve worked with individuals across the lifespan—from age 5 to 80—and my areas of focus include ADHD, mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, PTSD, and addiction. I’m here to walk beside you—at your pace, on your terms.

I'm a psychologist with 20+ years helping college students with eating disorders and body image problems. I like to work collaboratively. I bring the expertise on how to help students recover from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and emotional eating ( as well as the anxiety and depression that often accompany these issues) but students are the experts on their lives. Together, we form a partnership to help you move forward in both your eating disorder recovery and in building a life with more balance and joy! I utilize a mix of empirically-supported therapeutic approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
I work with clients to manage how their mental well-being impacts their work. Mental health challenges can affect focus, confidence, and performance, and many of my clients experience anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, or ADHD. Together, we use evidence-based therapy (including CBT and EMDR) and practical career guidance to align your career goals with your personal well-being.
Whether you’re seeking a therapist for the first time or looking for a new connection, choosing the right provider can be an intimidating process. Often times the most important factor in therapy is how you feel talking to and sitting with the psychotherapist you select. I treat a wide range of clients from a variety of backgrounds. I am a trauma specialist, and I have a particular focus in attachment trauma, narcissistic abuse, estrangement, toxic family stress, codependency, disordered eating, and complex ptsd. I practice from a relational framework, which is able to uniquely address the nature of these harms and the deeply felt needs of many clients. Working with me will look very different from a cookie cutter therapy response. Instead, you’ll find sitting with me includes personal reflection, humor, emotion and science based care. I am located in Medford off High St and nearby the library. Convenient to Winchester, Arlington, Somerville and Cambridge.
