You may appear confident on the outside, but internally struggle with self-doubt, anxiety, or fear of rejection. Many of my clients feel “too much” and not enough at the same time, which can show up as overgiving, withdrawing, or difficulty setting boundaries. I work with high-achieving individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, and grief—often expressed through overthinking, emotional avoidance, or disconnection. These patterns are often rooted in early experiences, cultural pressures, or navigating marginalized identities, all of which can shape how we view ourselves and relate to others. Together, we work to build a more grounded sense of self, increase emotional awareness, and shift away from survival patterns like numbing, overcontrolling, or checking out. My goal is to help you feel more confident, connected, and at ease in your life and relationships. I especially enjoy working with BIPOC clients, Asian Americans, first-generation individuals, and those exploring identity and belonging. I offer a free, no-pressure consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
Individuals, couples or families I counsel are motivated to reach their potential, build a healthy and meaningful life and make a positive impact. I help people who have had some success in but struggle with anxiety, stress, ambivalence, fear, conflict or difficult relationships is holding them back. Couples I work with want a thriving relationship but struggle with communication, deeper connection, shared reality or intimacy. Families want harmony but struggle with conflict, disconnection and/or a member with a mental/physical health problem.
My name is Ally Rosenberg, and I am a licensed therapist and founder of Rise with Rose Counseling. Good therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. My approach to therapy is active, relational, and result-oriented, encouraging clients to take hold of their life and find the meaning life holds for them. I work with individuals, couples, and families to address concerns with relationships, identity, intimacy and sexuality, and spirituality, in addition to general psychological problems. I serve as Director of Cambridge Counseling Associates and have served as lecturer and clinical instructor in psychology at Harvard Medical School for more than twenty years, in addition to serving on the Advisory Board of the Dr. Phil Show, where I have participated since its inception. Therapy opens the door to a rewarding process for personal freedom, growth, and fulfillment by understanding and changing patterns and routines that may have made you feel stuck, unproductive, and unhappy. My goal is to help you experience your true self to fully engage your life. (See drchirban.com or cambridgecounseling.com) My specializations include relationships, sexuality, and spirituality. I also assist individuals and families working through divorce and serve as a Guardian ad litem for the State of Massachusetts. For nearly 15 years, I worked as a high school teacher, advisor, dean, and administrator. Working with adolescents was fun, rewarding, and dynamic. As a social worker, I have worked in college settings, residential substance use treatment, and a community mental health clinic. I have significant clinical experience supporting clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use, and specialize in working with adolescents, college students and emerging adults. I bring a particular appreciation for the stage of life between childhood and full adulthood, an understanding of the pressures of this age range, and a wealth of experience helping people navigate the challenges of growing up. I feel comfortable working with people of all identities and backgrounds. I specialize in supporting adolescents and young adults, Jewish and other faith communities, and older adults. I strive to be culturally competent and curious as I learn about another person. I believe everyone needs to be heard and helped regardless of religion, creed, or political beliefs.
If you’ve been finding yourself stuck in old patterns that you cannot change, perhaps struggling with feelings of inadequacy or fear of failure, you’ve come to the right place. The constant doubting and shaming of a strong inner critic can prevent us from entering new relationships, pursuing our interests and goals, and convince us that it’s not safe to allow anyone to get to know our true selves. Choosing to confront these themes in therapy takes courage and vulnerability, and represents the first step in a decision to prioritize your mental health. I will work with you to explore the themes that brought you to therapy, and develop the self-compassion to show up more authentically in your life. My therapeutic style is compassionate, sometimes humorous, and client-led. I center my work around Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach, and I often pull from relational or psychodynamic modalities as well. I work with adolescents and adults of all backgrounds, and I specialize in working with those who identify as athletes or performers (musicians, actors, dancers, etc.) If you’re interested in starting therapy to address some of those old patterns or painful feelings, I hope you’ll take the time to consider if we would work well together.
Hi! Welcome and thank you for starting your journey. I am an empathetic, compassionate and thoughtful therapist. I seek to establish a warm and caring relationship with clients in order to empower them and help them grow from the experiences they face. I will partner with you in building on your strengths in order to meet your goals and live the meaningful life you value and desire. I love working with young adults (ages 20-35) addressing life stressors, relationship issues, family tensions and the ongoing stress of life transitions during this time period of life.
I specialize in supporting folks who are navigating the impacts of complex trauma. Complex trauma can occur as a result of violence in the home, relationships, school systems, community environments, the workplace, & systemic oppression. I take an in-depth, trauma-informed psychodynamic approach to therapy that feels accessible and relational in nature. With an in-depth approach to therapy, I strive to create a safe space for clients as they process difficult emotions, identify patterns, dismantle shame blockages, and repair intrapersonal trust. My approach to therapy works well for those who are seeking a deeper exploration of themselves and the world around them. In our first session together, you can expect me to be compassionate, curious, and highly attentive as I begin to know you at a pace that feels right for you.
I am a staff psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and faculty member at Harvard Medical School. I provide individual therapy for adults and have experience working with a wide variety of presenting concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma. My goal is to create a warm and genuinely accepting environment in order for you to feel comfortable collaborating with me to tackle your stressors together. I generally utilize a cognitive-behavioral approach (CBT), integrating other evidence-based theoretical orientations as needed to provide personalized treatment based on your needs and preferences. I prioritize using strengths-based, trauma-informed, multiculturally sensitive methodology. Effective therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship between the client and the therapist. Please reach out so I can support you on your journey. If I am not the right fit for you, I am happy to give you referrals so you can find the best therapist for you!

Sometimes the ways we learned to survive are the very things now keeping us stuck. If you’ve found yourself overthinking, constantly on edge, emotionally shut down, stuck in painful relationship patterns, or feeling like you’re carrying experiences your body never fully got to process, you are not alone! Therapy to me is not about judgment, fixing you, or forcing quick answers. It is about creating a space where you feel genuinely seen, safe, and understood while we begin making sense of what your mind and body have been holding. I offer trauma-informed, relational therapy grounded in evidence-based practice & deep compassion. Integrating ACT, IFS, and somatic approaches, I help adolescents and adults navigate complex trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, women's issues, identity exploration, and family transitions, including divorce and high conflict dynamics. As an MSW clinician with a background in psychology, criminal justice, trauma-informed advocacy, and mental health research, I bring clinical training and genuine humanity to my work. Healing isn't about becoming someone different. It's about understanding yourself with more clarity, compassion, and safety so you can live with greater freedom and connection!

Life's challenges can leave us feeling off-balance. As a therapist, I offer a warm, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect and begin to reconnect with yourself as you navigate anxiety, burnout and life transitions. I work closely with individuals from early to late adulthood. I often work with first-generation high achievers who carry strong internal pressure to succeed, manage high expectations and navigate what it means to be “the first” in their family or community. These experiences can bring pride but also anxiety, perfectionism, burnout and a sense of disconnection or uncertainty about where you’re headed. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, career uncertainty, relationship challenges or major life transitions, including midlife and aging-related changes such as shifting roles, identity questions and reassessing priorities over time. My approach is collaborative, transparent and grounded in trauma-informed and evidence-based practices. I draw from CBT, mindfulness and insight-oriented frameworks always tailoring therapy to your unique experiences and goals. I aim to help you develop practical strategies while also deepening your self-understanding so that change feels meaningful and sustainable. At Equilibria Counseling, we strive to create a space where you can show up as you are.
