I also work online with Zoom. Students who struggle with fitting into a new place ( university, dorm or work or friend group) find validation and support. Students who are going through personal crises ( substance issues, academic limits, romance pain, homesick, financial concerns, mental health or health issues) are given moral and emotional support. Change is challenging and we find ways to cope and move through. Exploring sexual identity, and attitudes is assisted by supportive acceptance and use of cutting edge therapeutic methods that are life changing. I am described as kind, gentle and emotionally generous by clients. I offer natural, flexible counseling methods and non-judgemental support.People tell me that they feel like they are coming in to talk with a great listener friend, who is caring , helpful and resourceful . I have been honored by participating in many people's experience of healing and am inspired about the future I see people creating for themselves. I have confidence from repeated experience that meaningful changes happen during counseling. The amazing secret is that when you chose to accept yourself as you are and treat yourself respectfully, that is when change is most likely to happen. Although I am experienced with holistic and natural alternatives to medication, I also work with traditional methods. Our relationships and frame of mind have a strong effect on our health and body.I routinely hear that longstanding physical problems are healed during counseling. Life is hard. We are all strong in our own way and have had times in our lives when life was easier and coping with difficulties came more smoothly. We will seek to clarify what is important, and what fits best for you. Finding blame isn't helpful so we look for solutions instead. Counseling includes support, guidance, exploring options, and creating a way to incorporate previous strengths with new realities. I have had my own life crises so I work from a warm understanding of difficulties in life. Your needs and wants will be a major part of this process. Hi there — I'm so glad you're here. I work with students who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just not like themselves. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trouble focusing, mood swings, or challenges with motivation, you're not alone — and you don’t have to figure it out on your own. Many of the students I work with are juggling a lot: classes, work, relationships, and big questions about their future. Some have been struggling for a while, while others are noticing new mental health concerns for the first time. I provide a safe, judgment-free space to talk things through and explore what’s going on. I also specialize in helping students who are managing ADHD, feeling burnt out, or noticing how stress is showing up physically — like trouble sleeping, appetite changes, or constant exhaustion. My role is to listen, support, and work with you on a plan that actually fits your life — whether that includes medication, lifestyle changes, or simply having someone who gets it. You're the expert on your life — I'm here to help you feel more in control of it.
I work with motivated, insightful, Millennial and Gen Z women who want to understand themselves and their pasts. I provide a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings so that they can become more self-aware and cope with mental illness, instability, upheaval, or change. As a Millennial or Gen Z woman, you may be grappling with questions about your identity and the meaning of life. Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed by stress and anxiety or navigating through life changes such as graduating from college or moving to a new city. You may have also received a recent ADHD diagnosis, and it turns out that all those years of suffering from irritability, poor concentration, and indecision weren't just depression. Whether anxiety, life transitions, ADHD, depression, or all of the above are getting in the way of you feeling healthy, empowered, and resilient, therapy can help you live a more balanced life.
Are you in emotional pain? Do you feel stuck? Has it been awhile since you felt like yourself? Do you feel disconnected from others and perhaps even yourself? Are you in need of support as you navigate a challenging life circumstance? If so, we should talk. I specialize in helping young adults figure out why they feel the way they do and what needs to change to live a more authentic, connected, and meaningful life. For 14 years I have worked alongside diverse undergraduate and graduate students at university mental health clinics, and I would be honored to work with you. I will help you to slow down and lean into your full range of emotions, especially the uncomfortable ones you are so good at avoiding. Together we will examine ways your past is connected to your present, identify problematic relationship patterns, and figure out how you want to start applying these insights to your life. This style of therapy goes beyond symptom reduction and heals underlying problems in a way that leads to long-lasting change. It is often an intense and challenging process, but I will be there to support and guide you as we explore the terrain of your inner life. And rest assured, there will be plenty of moments of lightness and laughter along the way! I work especially well with clients who are motivated to improve their relationships with themselves and others. In addition to providing individual psychotherapy I have a passion for offering interpersonal process groups. In these groups 6-8 people come together on a weekly basis to support and challenge one another. I am a Certified Group Psychotherapist and over my career I have led over 60 of these groups. Many clients have found that group therapy was able to accelerate their healing and growth in a way that individual therapy alone did not. Clients of all identities and backgrounds are welcome in my practice. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Think I might be a good fit? Our approach is informed primarily by psychodynamic principles. The emphasis is on creating a safe, supportive environment in which to explore and develop insights into underlying feelings and thoughts. Together we will uncover deeply held assumptions that, although may have been useful at one time, today reinforce ways of coping in the world that are no longer effective or relevant. Through guidance in therapy, a person learns that there are a range of options for solving problems that previously were unknown, felt out of reach, or were avoided due to an internal conflict.
Are you feeling disconnected? Are you struggling to find moments of peace in your life? Navigating these challenges can be intimidating on your own. In an ever-changing world, we could use a supportive presence. As a Latine therapist, I understand that global issues can take a toll on the mental health of affected communities. In our work together, I will hold space to process emotions around the issues impacting you. Using a relational psychoanalytic approach, I help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves to find their unique path to healing. Clients often gain a greater sense of self-compassion and skills to develop the relationships they desire. My goal is to work alongside you, letting you take the lead in your mental health journey. I look forward to working with you!
