I am committed to supporting college students in navigating the emotional challenges that come with school, relationships, and personal growth. In a safe and non-judgmental space, we’ll explore mindfulness techniques, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and self-compassion to help you build resilience and thrive. Together, we’ll identify patterns in your thoughts and behaviors, develop practical coping skills, and work toward creating a more balanced, fulfilling life. I also specialize in helping college-aged individuals and couples with communication, conflict resolution, and emotional connection, drawing from my training as a Level 2 Couples Clinician by the Gottman Institute. Whether you're navigating personal struggles or relationships, I’ll help you gain insight, strengthen your emotional toolkit, and find lasting solutions. I believe everyone has the potential to grow and thrive, and my goal is to empower you to tap into your strengths. Let’s work together to create a personalized roadmap for success, well-being, and connection during this exciting, yet sometimes challenging, time of your life.
Life transitions are my specialty and college is full of them! The pressures that students face can include feeling overwhelmed by college responsibilities, parent expectations, time management, career confusion, as well as "adulting" in general. Even social life can be a stressor. Some of my clients have found that past experiences or traumas have become obstacles to reaching their goals. It took many years of college to get where I am at, so I get that the struggle is real! I am available via teletherapy (video or phone), in office sessions, and offer text/email support as needed. I am here for you throughout the year - not just when school is in session. Call me today for a free consultation!

My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe that meaningful change happens in a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship, where you feel safe to be yourself and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. Together, we’ll work at your pace to better understand your experiences, build resilience, and develop tools that help you move forward with greater confidence and clarity. I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, including working in university counseling centers, where I supported students through many of the challenges you may be facing now. I also have experience working with international students, students with disabilities and chronic health conditions, Deaf and hard of hearing students, and those navigating complex family or cultural dynamics. You're out on your own and somehow now expected to juggle classes, deadlines, social plans you don’t even have the energy for, and the constant pressure to ‘be better.’ Maybe you’re asking yourself: Am I falling behind? I come to this work from a place of deep respect for each individual’s story and path. I believe in creating an inclusive, welcoming space where you will feel comfortable exploring both your strengths and your challenges. I have a collaborative approach and value being direct, supportive, responsive to feedback. I have a background in Women’s Studies and literature and creative writing and may incorporate creative and expressive activities such as storytelling and reading other people’s stories as part of our work. I have experience working with a range of issues and populations (see below). I am passionate about women’s and LGBTQI issues and have extensive experience working with gender expansive and transgender individuals along the gender continuum. Fundamentally, I believe the relationship between an individual and his/her/their therapist matters much more than the specific techniques employed. My primary focus early in therapy is developing a relationship where my clients trust me and feel comfortable. I work with individuals in an open and honest dialogue and help individuals increase resiliency and coping skills through identifying their strengths. Primarily I provide individual counseling on a weekly basis. Many clients will be able to work through a particular issue or issues in a brief time, but I am also able to work with clients over a longer span of time.
