I am a psychotherapist with experience providing individual and group counseling, specifically with adolescents, young adults, and new mothers. I have been effective working with clients across several cultural backgrounds. I use multiple approaches while working with my clients, focusing on the "whole client" and concentrating on building a strong rapport through my engagement skills. I believe therapy works best when there is a strong, trusting relationship between client and therapist. I provide a safe, supportive, calming and judgement-free environment for my clients. I use a strength-based perspective and integrate client-centered, behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy while working with my clients. I put a high priority on creating an energetic and safe place for my clients to explore the obstacles in their lives and create positive goals for their future. I would love to offer you a free phone consultation to see if we would be a good fit!

My Approach Transitions in our lives can bring up a lot of different emotions. Some of these emotions can be conflicting if the transition “should” be happy. My work focuses on individuals and couples as they navigate through these transitions. There are ways to process it, work through it and allow you to show up authentically for yourself and your relationships. Your emotions are valid and your reactions are safety mechanisms learned through your survival of your experiences. My goal is to help you navigate through these changes, learn about yourself and build a meaningful life.
Life is full of ups & downs, and it’s completely natural to find yourself questioning why things don’t feel as fulfilling or joyful as you think they should. Maybe you're wondering, “Why isn’t my life bringing me the happiness I expected?” or “Why is my relationship with (partner/friend/family member) so hard?” You might feel stuck - unsure of how to make things better as you navigate anxiety, depression, and other challenges. These feelings are more common than you might think, and you don’t have to face them on your own. My style is affirming, supportive, and insight-driven, with real-world skills to manage daily challenges. I specialize in working with young adults & college students. Together, we’ll explore practical tools to break through obstacles, rediscover hope, and empower you to create lasting change - no matter where you’re starting from. Remember, you don’t have to navigate these challenges alone. Each journey is unique, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you find your way forward. Feel free to reach out by phone or email to schedule a free phone consultation. I’m here to support you!
I work from a trauma-informed perspective, and the foundation of my work is grounded in talk therapy, CBT, and ACT. I offer holistic and complementary interventions that will support your overall well-being. Our work can be supported by incorporating somatic practices, when appropriate for you. Our relationship is central to this work and I hold a safe, non-judgmental, and present-moment space for you. I encourage you to let your guard down, and speak from your most authentic self, and I will do the same, so we can truly connect. My main areas of focus are in personal growth and optimal well-being, spirituality in terms of your search to answer those deeper, more meaningful questions in life, and helping you heal from relational wounds such as childhood neglect, psychological abuse, attachment wounds, and relationship conflict. I believe that anxiety, depression, self-criticism, stress, and some physical symptoms are the result of negative relationship experiences. The stories from our past can color our present moment in ways that no longer serve us. In our work together, I will support you as you learn to build trust in yourself, and in others. I know there is a brighter future for you, one that nourishes your soul and where peace comes naturally. I want to help you find it!

I'm a clinical psychologist and a trained psychoanalyst. I believe that what promotes growth and mental health is the process of putting real but hard to see aspects of your experience into words. This decreases their power and brings them more to heel for you. This is different from challenging thoughts or skill building. You as the patient should have clear evidence in therapy that you're coming to understand yourself better and more fully. Old, stuck ways of thinking should slowly give way to the ability to think more effectively about what is and what can be. Your sense of 'you' should grow wider and more secure, and your ability live and act with purpose of your choosing should slowly build.
