Charlie Health is a virtual behavioral health program for adolescents and young adults with moderate or severe mental health concerns or co-occurring substance use or eating disorders. Designed to meet the needs of those who require more than weekly therapy, our program combines curated group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy into personalized treatment programs. We are helping to serve those who are in crisis, or have been historically underserved, by eliminating the most significant treatment barriers: geographical and financial access. We work with nearly all commercial insurance nationwide and have no waitlist, thereby helping people access quality, evidence-based care regardless of insurance, location, or other barriers.

I have experience working with individuals on a variety of issues. My specialties include work with anxiety, addiction, OCD, and trauma. My process with clients is very solution focused in- nature. I aim to utilize the strengths clients already possess to bring progress into all facets of their life. As a University of Oregon Graduate, I understand the challenges students can face. College can be presented as a fun experience where you meet new people and prepare for your future. While we all hope this is the case, sometimes life happens. The pressure of classes, grades, family, or personal challenges can get in the way of your experience. Having the right support system and tools to navigate life as a student is important, and I am here to help.

You have the weight of the world on your shoulders, and have for a very long time. As a child, you had to grow up quickly and take on adult roles, because you had a parent who wasn’t always able to be fully present. Overwhelming emotional pain weighs on you. And you’ve found that the emotional pain shows up as physical pain too - a literal heartache, muscle aches, or back pain. You’ve also lost your appetite or find yourself eating more than usual. You went through something horrific. And you thought you had dealt with it, you thought you could handle it on your own, but it keeps popping its pesky little head up in your current life and relationships. Speaking of which, you have a history of unsuccessful relationships. You long for closeness and intimacy - being validated, loved, and understood - but you can’t seem to avoid toxic people and/or sabotaging the good relationships because when there’s love and harmony you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. Sometimes as a result of the way you’ve been treated, you question your own worth and value. You worry that your life will never be the same. The fear gnaws at you sometimes that maybe you will never get out from under this boulder of responsibility and heartache on your shoulders. You worry you will never be free. Like my clients, you deserve to find your footing, and discover healing and meaning in life again. Making a full recovery is not out of reach. If you want to not just move on, but move forward, I’d love to help you get there.

We'll examine lifestyle factors like diet, inflammation, and physical health, as well as any past trauma and disconnection. Understanding these core issues will help us address the underlying impacts on your mental health. Our goal is to tap into your body’s natural healing by addressing foundational elements holistically. We aim to connect your mind, body, and spirit, promoting not just symptom relief but sustainable well-being. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan to support your unique needs and help you achieve a balanced, fulfilling life.

At different times in our lives, we may find ourselves challenged or feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, our relationships, our careers, our health, or transitions. It is during these challenges, that a trusting relationship with a counselor can give the dynamic support, to sort through our thinking, feeling, and patterns of behavior. Each client comes with unique struggles and with unique hopes and longings in the search for meaning, relatedness, healing, creativity, and growth. We all have a life to live. When that life is stymied - by inside forces or outside events - you might feel stuck or lonely, experience anxiety, depression, anger, grief, chronic pain, or restlessness. You might also struggle with life changes, illness, stale relationship patterns, addictions or spiritual issues. My aim is to get to know you well and help you develop a conscious, vital relationship with the powerful forces that seek life and growth and with those that get in your way. My work is influenced by Jungian depth psychology. This perspective seeks to discover unknown or forgotten parts of self that serve as powerful resources for healing and growth. Mindful attention to dreams, emotion, body, and imagination help us to locate sources of suffering and to listen to what inside might want to be found and more fully lived. My style is interactive and relational, my aim to engage whatever you bring. I enjoy adults of all ages, people diverse in gender, culture, socio-economic background, and spiritual beliefs. Therapy can be short-term or longer depending on individual needs. I look forward to being part of your path toward health, integration, and vitality.
