I often work with clients who struggle with anxiety and depressive disorders, historic and/or complex trauma, identity exploration, LGBTQ+ issues, BIPOC/POC issues, and life transitions. My approach is person-centered, emotion-focused, and integrative based on other therapeutic modalities (e.g., Mindfulness, ACT, Parts Work), and collaborate with my clients on what would work best for them and their needs.

Our goal will be to systematically explore the past and present elements affecting your life so we can establish and/or confirm a diagnosis and the appropriate level of care for you. Before our session, you will receive documents for you to fill out. Assessment can be lengthily at times and prefilled documents can ease us into a more enjoyable conversation. We will also go over the rules and regulations to preserve safety and lay the framework for your treatment. After our first session, follow up appointments are usually between 25-30 mins long and the frequency of the sessions can be decided by medication management and therapeutic outcomes. Because every case can be different from the next one, your treatment will be tailored to your need. The complexity of your case will determine the adjustments to your treatment plan. When pertinent, we will do our best to provide you with complementary services from around your community. I hope to do this all while helping you feel as comfortable as possible. Given that some topics can be challenging, some questions can be addressed in more detail in following sessions as you become more acquainted with me and the rest of our team. I work with relationship issues and sexuality, certified as a Relationship Therapist through the Gottman Institute of Seattle. I am also certified as a Sex Therapist through AASECT, the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists. Several years ago I realized I am autistic and now I address issues experienced by people who are autistic/ Asperger's or those who wonder whether they may carry that diagnosis. I also see people with other forms of neurodivergence such as ADHD. Originally I am from Boston and grew up in a working class family with a commitment to political activism. I am licensed in NY and FL as well as Oregon and Washington State. Although I offer some reduced fee spots I am sorry to say they are consistently full.
The therapeutic relationship is the key to my approach. Together we will build strong therapeutic relationship through mutual trust and understanding. This creates a safe environment for self-exploration, growth and development. I believe that if we work collaboratively we can identify problems and personalize treatment direction. My goal is to help you cope with your daily struggles, improve resiliency and create lasting change. With the right skills, each individual has the capacity to accomplish their goals. I specialize in effective therapy for individuals who are suffering from depression, anxiety, difficulty maintaining healthy relationships, low self-esteem and assertiveness issues as well as survivors of trauma, and domestic violence.
You feel alone, prioritize the needs of others, and wonder if things will change, asking: "What am I protecting? Who am I trying to be? What do I want?" Relationships (breakups, separation, dating, divorce) can bring up anxiety, regret, fear and self-judgment. These effect the relationship we have with ourselves. Resentments, anger, and guilt - toward others and within ourselves make us feel disconnected and alone. As a therapist, my aim is to help you reconnect with your SELF. Everyone is different. Our expectations and ideals are influenced by family history, surrounding cultural expectations, and unique experiences. Our therapy sessions help you develop tools to define relationships you want, conquer anxiety, past regrets, self doubt, negative self-image, and slowly dispose of the negative loud inner-monologue (which comes up frequently, when you are trying to navigate your road ahead.) I am an Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist using Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) tools to develop a solid foundation of self - (via telehealth, online) in both Oregon and Washington State. Specialties: Individuals dealing with sleep issues/insomnia, difficulty with focus (ADHD); folks going through separation/divorce to develop purpose, motivation and intention; individuals in relationships cultivate/improve connection; single individuals build a sense of self (aligned with values) which can be applied toward dating and future relationships. __________________________________________ Interested in seeing if we connect? Clients have called me a witch, a shaman, and a professional shame-buster.
Hello! My name is Hannah Fisher and I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Willamette Health & Wellness in Portland. I provide medication management along with supportive therapy for a variety of patients. Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or mentally exhausted—even though you’re keeping up with work and responsibilities? Do you find yourself overthinking, tense, or disconnected from what used to matter? In therapy, we'll focus on helping you reduce the grip of anxiety, respond differently to stress, and develop practical skills for handling difficult thoughts and emotions without feeling overwhelmed by them.
I provide a safe and supportive environment to work in collaboration with you to manage mood and anxiety concerns and, if you are struggling specifically with disordered eating, the support to challenge eating disorder behavior. I strive to balance this with providing honest open reflection to help meet you where you are. I utilize the exploration of unhelpful thinking and behavioral patterns meeting clients where they are at in the process of change and helping them progress.
Are there old patterns stuck on repeat in your relationship that you’ve tried to change but can’t seem to? Is relationship stress or anxiety in general getting in the way of your feeling satisfied or in flow with your life? Maybe you feel invisible or unappreciated. Perhaps you feel a sense of powerlessness or frustration due to your boundaries being overstepped. You may have even stopped trying due to repeated failures trying to "fix" what isn't working. The truth is every now and then we need support from someone who has the knowledge, training, and personal experience to help you with something like this. I help clients heal and learn from old relationship wounds and improve their relationship with themselves and others. I help people get to the heart of the matter and go beyond learning and implementing coping skills. In this way we can get to know what is creating barriers to joy, calm, and flow in your relationships and in your life. Please note that addition to qualifications listed within this profile, I am a certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician. Whether working through anxiety, contemplating/preparing for a breakup or moving on from a relationship, healing from the fallout of antagonistic relational stress and/or narcissistic abuse, strengthening your boundaries, or you're just wanting to give that critical inner voice the boot so that you simply feel better about you, I'm here to help. * I am contracted with Care Oregon and am able to work with Trillium Community Health of OHP via single case agreement.

Hi! I'm glad you found me here in a sea of so many qualified therapists. What sets me apart from many other providers is the guiding principle that effective therapy is much more art than science. Research has consistently shown that the most influential common factor in effective therapy is a comfortable working relationship with your therapist (as opposed to a specialized treatment protocol or even years of experience). As such, I treat the quality and trust within our therapeutic relationship as the number one priority. I strive to provide a space in which we can engage collaboratively, to gain greater understanding through curiosity and exploration, ultimately working to address the root causes of your struggles. Developing an awareness and insight into your thoughts and decision making is key to attaining greater fulfillment and life satisfaction. You are more than what brings you into therapy and I recognize that the sum total of your lived experience is what makes you 'you'. Therapy allows you to be completely open and honest without fear of judgment, ultimately providing you the capacity to live authentically. I offer a free 15-minute consult; contact me or schedule via my website to see if I'm a good fit for you!
Nutrition counseling for adults 18+ struggling with a history of dieting/eating disorders looking to improve their relationship with food, movement, and body image. We practice within the Health at Every Size (HAES) paradigm and use a values-based approach to help our clients ditch dieting for good so that they can find freedom with food and body. We also specialize in sports nutrition and see current and retired athletes at the collegiate level and beyond.
I aim to create an environment that is respectful, supportive, and collaborative. My approach to therapy is primarily based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). A core idea in ACT is that trying too hard to get rid of or control our emotions tends to backfire. Thus, instead of trying to get rid of unwanted thoughts, feelings, or emotions, I will help you learn to react differently to them so that you can keep your focus on living a meaningful and fulfilling life based on what’s important to you. This type of approach places your values at the center of therapy. Using your values and existing strengths as a foundation, we will work together to set meaningful goals to address your concerns –whether they relate to life transitions, depression, anxiety, body image, grief/loss, job or academic stress, or gender and sexuality. I have extensive training in working with transgender and gender diverse adults, youth, and families. Transgender clients seeking assessment or counseling services can expect a safe space, and respectful, non-pathologizing, collaborative care. If you are looking for someone to work with regarding gender identity and exploration, I can provide education, support, preparation, and, if indicated, reports/letters for surgery.
My clinical specialization is in the treatments and interventions of those struggling with eating disorders, compulsive exercise, and poor body image. My therapeutic approach is inclusive of trauma informed care and strengths-based perspectives that centers body safety, fat liberation, and inclusivity. I believe that we are the experts in our own lived experiences, therefore I prioritize collaboration in the change and therapeutic process. As a psychotherapist, you can also expect me to be patient, compassionate, curious, direct, and incredibly hilarious.
