In Real Time Wellness
Anxiety is complicated - its like the house guest that shows up unannounced and doesn't know when to leave. Anxiety can sabotage picture perfect moments and sometimes prevent opportunities from even getting off the ground. Other times, it allows us to recognize when we're in danger and helps us spring into action. How do you know when anxiety is serving you well or setting you up? My clients often seek therapy to manage anxiety because they no longer want anxiety taking them by surprise. They want to manage their anxiety in a healthy way, so that they can enjoy their lives. Together, we work towards creating a game plan that works best for you to achieve anxiety relief. Anxiety can go unnoticed for a long-time, especially in a college setting where high-performance is expected. We will talk about how high-functioning anxiety shows up in your life. Procrastination and avoidance paired with perfectionism is a winning combination for someone to misallocate their energy and efforts and burnout in the process. If this rings true to you, I would be honored to chat with you about I can help you live your life with a little more ease.

You didn’t ask for this—whether it’s a major life change, a new mental health diagnosis, or that frustrating sense of being stuck in the same loop over and over. You may be navigating something unfamiliar: a shift in your identity, a change in your relationships, or a diagnosis that’s left you overwhelmed, confused, or doubting yourself. Maybe you’ve noticed patterns that no longer serve you but haven’t been able to break free from them. You want to feel in control again—or maybe for the first time. And while you might hate what you’re feeling right now, some part of you is ready to figure it out. That’s where I come in. Our work together is collaborative. I’ll meet you with curiosity, honesty, and care—helping you connect the dots, challenge stuck narratives, and build something new. We’ll explore how past experiences might be shaping the present, how your diagnosis fits into the bigger picture, and what tools will actually help you feel more like you again. My clients are open to the therapy process, even when it's hard. They want clarity, relief, and a sense of mastery over their mental health—not just symptom relief, but true understanding. If you’re ready to start, reach out. We can talk about where you are, where you want to be, and how we can get there—together.

I empower individuals to discover their resiliency, harness the energy of their anxiety in productive ways, and better manage negative unhelpful worry thinking. Anxiety results in the space between overestimating the probability of danger AND underestimating your ability to cope with it. My philosophy for healing is that everyone has strength and resiliency to cope with much more than they could imagine, and through therapy you discover those strengths and how to implement them. I have worked with hundreds of clients in 15+ years as a licensed therapist. Having been an active duty military spouse for 20 years, I have been licensed in 6 states and have vast experience providing therapy to diverse populations in numerous settings with various needs. This led me to a path of focusing more on primary anxiety conditions (such as general anxiety, panic, phobias) to secondary anxiety (from ADHD, autism, sensory integration) to justifiable external stressors (for example, societal, environmental, financial). I use research-proven Virtual Reality Immersion Therapy (VRIT), biofeedback, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, Solution-Focused Therapy techniques, and other evidence based models to help clients face fears and anxieties in customized imaginal and constructed virtual environments while teaching the coping skills of mindfulness, thought restructuring, and regulating body sensations. I offer weekend and evening hours, as well as the option for secure messaging and video contact between sessions for established clients. I view therapy as the process of developing a better understanding of thoughts, emotions and patterns. I utilize a person-centered therapy approach to create a warm, non-judgmental atmosphere where you can feel comfortable and safe. Through the journey of self-discovery, your needs and wants from the therapy process may change. This is why I pull from different evidence-based therapy approaches such as CBT and positive psychology to best fit with your needs at the time. I have experience working with a variety of mental health concerns. However, no two people are the same. Together we will work towards your unique goals utilizing the individual strengths you bring. Deciding to begin therapy can be scary. I will help to illuminate the process and ease your concerns. I am currently accepting new clients. I look forward to hearing from you and starting this journey together.
