Are you tired of people telling you how strong you are? Friends, family and even some therapists will often say this with the best of intentions. True healing, however, moves beyond pure resiliency. We must go further than just managing our emotions and begin to process and heal them so we can move through. As your therapist I will be both companion and challenger along your journey. I will walk alongside you and bring a genuine sense of compassion to any difficulties you may face. I offer a safe, open and non-judgmental space for you to find your own voice and equip you with tools to move forward and reach a more contented life. My therapeutic approach is integrative and incorporates a blend of cognitive behavioral, body based, emotion focused, family systems and relational orientations. I offer a holistic approach to treatment, taking into account your personality and life circumstances to create a specialized plan which reflects your own unique goals and gifts.
Do you feel exhausted always chasing the next milestone, but it never feeling like enough? Do you feel burned out and ready to quit but still wanting to achieve your goals? or maybe a sense of self-doubt with the pressure to always perform at your absolute best? Are your relationships suffering because you prioritize your goals over your loved ones? Do you feel like something is missing or unsure of who you are outside of what you can accomplish? Or even worried that others may perceive you as weak or incapable? How is that guilt showing up that you might need to spend time prioritizing your mental health as well?
My therapeutic approach centers on the holistic well-being of individuals, with a particular focus on working with millennial female clients. My aim is to facilitate, through a strengths-based approach, your therapeutic journey towards enhanced well-being and deeper insight into your thoughts and behaviors (as well as understanding the roots of our cognitive and behavioral patterns). While my therapeutic toolbox encompasses Reiki, EMDR, IFS, and mindfulness techniques, I customize therapy sessions to suit each individual, allowing for flexibility beyond these established frameworks. I'm licensed in CO, TX, MT, OR, ID, WY, WA, and FL.
Mental health is defined as the ability to love, and the ability to work; to be able to have stable and emotionally fulfilling relationships with others, to take care of your daily needs, and to be able to enjoy using your time creatively and productively. As a counselor, I aim to join with my clients and help them identify their troubles, explore their origins, and create unique solutions to help them live the life they hope for. While my work is very relational and focuses more on meeting the unique needs of individuals, I use specific techniques drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I have seven years experience working with young adults, especially neurodivergent young adults on the autism spectrum or with ADHD or learning differences. I particularly enjoy vocational counseling and helping clients navigate life transitions. Many of my clients have complicated diagnositic histories and may have struggled to connect with other counselors in the past. I accept insurance through Headway and also accept private pay through card, cash, check, or Zelle. Please feel free to ask me about sliding scale.

I have experience working with veterans, adolescents, young adults, and individuals coping with grief, identity concerns, family conflict, and major life changes. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills while tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs and goals. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported as you work toward meaningful change. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, navigating a loss, or simply looking for a place to process life's challenges, I would be honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey.

I often work with high-functioning students, student athletes, graduate students and new graduates and professionals who look put together on the outside but struggle with self-doubt, hidden stress, and emotions that feel out of control. You may be tired of carrying it all alone or feel like something has to change but don’t know where to start. I provide a grounded, supportive space where your experience is taken seriously and your goals matter. I help clients better understand what’s holding them back and develop practical skills that support meaningful, lasting change. What makes my practice unique is a strong emphasis on goal-setting and progress. I work with clients who want more than insight alone, they want to see change reflected in their daily lives and relationships. My approach to therapy is collaborative, intentional, and practical. “We don’t have to do all of it alone, we were never meant to.” -Brene Brown Currently accepting new clients for virtual/Telehealth counseling services and hypnotherapy. My 10+ years of practicing has become enriched with opportunities to work with an array of presenting issues and populations, all of which have deeply impacted, influenced, and enhanced my fulfillment and devotion to the mental health field. I maintain and promote an inclusive mindset, welcoming all human beings to share in a safe space, in order to knock down barriers, and move toward a healthier and more desirable quality of life. While the majority of the clients on my caseload suffer from the lasting effects of trauma/PTSD, a growing pattern, stemming from anxiety, depression, and relational/attachment issues has become a close second.
I am a board-certified psychiatrist and Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. For me, being a physician is more than a profession—it is a vocation to help indviduals flourish. My practice is devoted to students and young adults seeking thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care that extends beyond symptom relief. I provide comprehensive evaluations that consider medical, nutritional, lifestyle, and psychological factors—including laboratory testing when clinically appropriate—to identify the contributors to emotional and cognitive health. I also specialize in evidence-based de-prescribing for patients who wish to reduce or discontinue psychiatric medications for anxiety, attention difficulties, or substance use disorders. My approach is guided by precision, humility, and restraint: using the least intensive intervention necessary while drawing upon the full breadth of evidence-based medicine. Depending on each patient's needs and goals, I integrate psychotherapy, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, exercise, targeted supplementation, and, when appropriate, carefully selected medications into a personalized treatment plan. In addition to my clinical work, I have presented internationally on psychiatric deprescribing and medical ethics. My work has been recognized with awards from the American Psychiatric Association, the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions, the American Psychoanalytic Association, and other leading professional organizations. I am the Founder & Medical Director of Verigrate Health. I am licensed to serve patients in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Lousiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin.

I have been in the counseling profession for two years. I was drawn to this line of work after witnessing how powerful connection, trust, and a listening ear can be in helping someone navigate life’s challenges, regardless of age. My experience includes treating depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and life transitions. I currently work with individuals 12 years and older and in my free time, I love attending sporting events (Go 'Stros!), live concerts and performances, and listening to a good audiobook or podcast with an iced coffee in hand. A journey towards healing starts with taking that first step. If you have questions or would like to schedule a free brief consultation call to help take that first step towards healing please contact me.
