College and early adulthood can be a mix of excitement, stress, and uncertainty. You’re making big choices about your future, managing relationships, navigating independence, and trying to stay mentally clear and emotionally balanced. Therapy can help you make sense of all of it—and give you the tools to move forward with clarity and confidence. I’m a licensed therapist in Colorado with over 30 years of experience working with young adults. I help people who feel overwhelmed, stressed, stuck, or unsure of who they are or where they’re headed. I also support clients in breaking free from unhealthy or addictive patterns—whether that’s substances, social media, gaming, or other habits that have started to take over. My approach is real, down-to-earth, and supportive. I’ll help you understand what’s going on emotionally, mentally, physically, and in your relationships—and together we’ll work on practical strategies for change. Some sessions will be about insight and reflection, others will focus on action and new tools. You set the pace, and I help you get where you want to go. If you’re in this stage of life and want support that meets you where you are, I’d be honored to work with you.

I work with adolescents, young adults and adults who are looking to better understand themselves and create a more meaningful, connected life. I support clients navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, identity development, and relational challenges. My style is warm, open, and curious, and I strive to create a supportive space where we can explore what matters most to you. Together, we’ll tailor therapy to your unique values, goals, and lived experiences—especially in the areas where you feel stuck or uncertain. I bring over a decade of experience providing therapy that is collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to the unique needs of each person. My training is integrative—I draw from psychodynamic, relational, and behavioral approaches to support meaningful and lasting growth. Finding a therapist who feels like the right fit can be one of the hardest—and most important—steps in starting therapy. If you’re curious about working together, I’d love to offer a free phone consultation to learn more about what you’re looking for, answer any questions you might have, and talk about how I can support you in your therapy journey. Feel free to outreach me or schedule a consultation at https://drlindseyharcus.sessionshealth.com/.

I love helping college students navigate the challenges of this phase of life which can be both exciting and scary. I have been in practice for 25+ years and believe in helping young adults develop the best version of themselves. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, grief, self esteem issues, relationship challenges, and general life transitions. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, in addition to mindfulness practices. I also offer EMDR as a treatment modality when appropriate. My experience as a parent to a current college student and a recent grad has helped me appreciate the nuances of this phase of life from a different perspective. I am a solo practitioner in Wheat Ridge and am currently offering both in person and telehealth appointments. I accept Kaiser and Humana insurance in addition to private pay.

I work with individuals and families who are navigating life changes, anxiety, depression and overall life stressors. My goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe, heard, and valued. Therapy is a place where you do not have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or have all the answers; we move at a pace that feels supportive and respectful. Clients often describe me as warm, gentle, and genuine. I use appropriate humor to ease tension, while also offering thoughtful reflection to gently interrupt patterns that may no longer be serving you. Therapy with me is collaborative and supportive, balancing emotional understanding with practical skill-building to encourage meaningful change. My hope is that through our work together, you will feel safer in yourself, more empowered, and more confident in your voice; carrying forward a deeper sense of resilience, self-worth, and the light you bring into the world.

I work with you to not just understand what's going on, but also to develop tools to help. Tools to stop panic attacks, tools to manage depression, tools to get organized and figure out what you want in life. We work together to see what works reliably for you. In addition to talking things through, in session and between sessions sometimes you might be writing, sometimes trying a challenging behavior change, sometimes engaging in mindfulness, and sometimes using visualizations. My aim is for you to feel better, and to know what to do to keep feeling better or help yourself if problems resurface. And I try to work efficiently with you, so you are back to your life (and ending therapy) as soon as makes sense for you. Give me a call to set up an initial (free) conversation, at 303-870-9195.

They want to be their authentic selves and live each day with intention, but need some help figuring out how best to do so. I have 6+ years of experience and have helped hundreds of clients like you achieve their goals. I aim to understand each of my clients as the unique individuals that they are, and if we work together I will customize my treatment approach according to what will best serve your needs. Healing and growth takes place in the context of relationships - in our relationship with ourselves, and in our relationships with others. Unfortunately, our relationships can sometimes become distant, disconnected and a place of conflict, leaving us with unmet needs and just feeling “stuck.” We don’t feel safe asking for what we need, and maybe don’t even know what we need ourselves. The therapeutic relationship in counseling provides an authentic and safe place in which healing can begin to take place. My goal is to provide you with a space where you feel seen and heard; where you feel safe to explore your story and your experiences; a space where you can work through some of the hard things in a way that moves you towards a deeper sense of wholeness and connection. If you'd like to find out if this is a good place for you to address some of these things for yourself, reach out and we can schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if it would be a good fit!
