I am originally from California, but have called Colorado (Denver) my home for the last thirteen years. While I do miss the ocean, I love being in the mountains and all they have to offer. When I am not working, I am often playing in my garden, doing something in the kitchen, spending time with friends and family, or traveling. I am the same person during session as I am outside of session; laid back, a little goofy, genuinely curious about others’ lives, and compassionate. I use she/her pronouns. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and am licensed to see clients in Colorado, Indiana, Florida and Nevada. I have been practicing therapy since 2013 and truly enjoy working with my clients. I love learning about how trauma and stress can impact our minds, bodies and nervous systems and the ways we can heal and start to feel better. I am a Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist as well as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). I often use a mixture of EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SE), attachment, parts focused, and mindfulness techniques to help clients begin to unpack stressful or traumatic events and begin to integrate a sense of healing back into their minds and bodies. These techniques can be helpful for clients struggling with anxiety and depression symptoms, who have experienced one or more traumatic events, substance use, emotion regulation, or uncomfortable body sensations.

I look forward to helping you achieve your goals, build resilience, and create meaningful change through person-centered, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other tailored therapeutic approaches. As a former NCAA Division I athlete, I offer a unique perspective in supporting individuals, including athletes navigating both mental health and performance-related challenges. In my practice now, I remain dedicated to bringing warmth, kindness, and understanding to each session, creating a space where you can explore and grow at your own pace. Staying active is important for the mind, body, and soul, whether I’m in or out of the office. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I help children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate severe anxiety, depression, life transitions, phobias, grief, gender or identity issues, boundaries and self-care, interpersonal relationships, and trauma. Whether you're a teenager struggling with self-esteem or self-harm thoughts, an adult working through a major life change, or a couple looking to rebuild connection, this is a nonjudgemental space where you are heard, understood, and supported while exploring your own desires, motivations, and needs. For teens, I offer the tools to manage the pressures of school, home, and everyday life. For adults, we work together to untangle the weight of anxiety, depression, stress, and transitions so you can craft a clear path toward your goals. For couples, the focus is on rediscovering what it means to be a team, navigating conflict resolution and codependency, and building the communication skills and trust to get there. No matter what you’re facing, I believe every person has the capacity not only to overcome challenges but to truly thrive. My role is to be a guide as you do exactly that – provide the environment where you can better yourself and shed unhealthy patterns. If you’ve found yourself encountering obstacles and seeking ways to move forward, please reach out today. My work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and a genuine belief in your ability to grow, in a safe, collaborative, and calm environment. Life moves fast, and the thoughts that come with it can quickly become overwhelming, which is why I help you slow down, untangle what's weighing on you, and build self-awareness so you can move forward with clarity and intention. Depending on your needs, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and person-centered approaches. Each method serves a different purpose: CBT and person-centered therapies help you explore different parts of yourself with insight and compassion; DBT and IFS offer practical skills and tools to grow while gaining personal insights. No matter the approach, you can always expect warmth, directness, and yes, humor. This is a space where you lead, and where we can go deep when the moment calls for it. Whether you're working through unhealthy habits in life, resolving negative patterns in a relationship, navigating personal challenges, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, the goal is always the same: to meet you where you are, uncover the conflicts holding you back, and help you get where you want to be. My path to becoming a therapist began with my own experience with family therapy, where I learned about myself and how to build healthier connections with the people closest to me. In college, I volunteered for 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, and found real meaning in being able to offer that same kind of safe, supportive space for others. These experiences led me to Florida State University, where I earned both a Master of Science and an Education Specialist in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology and a double major in Business Management. That combination of lived experience and academic grounding shaped the kind of therapist I set out to become: one who brings both empathy and honest guidance into every session. Authentic connection and meaningful conversation are at the heart of this work, and I look forward to walking alongside you in yours. Outside of the therapy room, you'll find me running, getting lost in a good book, playing board games, discovering new music, or sitting down to a great meal. Staying curious and continuing to learn are values I carry into every area of my life, including my work with you.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with eight years of combined clinical experience, my work is rooted in one simple belief: that quality mental health care should be accessible to everyone, at every stage of life. Specializing in medication management across the lifespan, I bring both clinical expertise and a deeply personal commitment to the patients I serve. Growing up as a first-generation American raised by Spanish parents, I understand firsthand how language and cultural barriers can stand between people and the care they deserve. That lived experience fuels my passion for culturally competent mental health care, and my dedication to ensuring that you feel truly understood and supported throughout your treatment. Evidence-based practice guides everything I do, because you deserve care that is both thoughtful and grounded in what works. You can expect an environment that is open, kind, and collaborative from our first meeting. Using a conversational approach to assessment and treatment planning, my goal is always to meet you where you are, not where anyone else thinks you should be. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, you are seen as a whole person, with your own story, values, and needs shaping the direction of your care. Every treatment plan we build together reflects that holistic perspective. Finding the right path forward is a partnership, and your voice matters every step of the way. My path to becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner began in an oncology office, where assisting patients receiving chemotherapy became far more than a clinical task. Sitting with people during some of their most vulnerable moments, offering conversation and a bit of warmth in the middle of something so difficult, revealed how profoundly meaningful human connection can be in a care setting. These experiences made it clear that mental health was where my work was meant to go. That early foundation continues to inform the care offered today, reminding me that presence, compassion, and genuine attention are just as important as clinical skill. When not at work, you'll likely find me out on the trails with my dogs, gliding across the ice figure skating, moving through a Pilates session, or discovering new foods while exploring somewhere new. These pursuits keep me grounded and curious, qualities that carry right back into the care I bring to every patient.

I am a therapist specializing in a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, identity issues, LGBTQIA+ identity and relationships, life transitions, men's health, relationship issues, self-esteem, sexual health, stress management, and student mental health — working with patients of all ages. With more than eight years of experience in direct care mental health settings and a background as a former educator, I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic relationship. I believe that healing is a collaborative process and am committed to working alongside people from all walks of life to help you navigate your challenges and discover solutions that are right for you. My practice is founded on evidence-based and integrative modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), humanistic, and collaborative approaches. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, I tailor therapy to meet you where you are. My goal is to create a space where processing your experiences, build new understanding, and work toward meaningful goals all come together, so that every session moves you forward in a way that feels both grounded and purposeful. My path to becoming a therapist grew naturally out of my work as an educator. Many of my former students sought me out specifically, recognizing that they needed someone to direct and honest with them about their patterns and behaviors. Being surrounded by therapists throughout that time, I found myself continually inspired by the depth and impact of their work. That inspiration led me here. Today, I bring that same directness into the therapy room, helping you explore how your feelings and emotions connect to your history and how patterns, often without our awareness. By shining a light on those cycles, we can begin to understand them and, together, find a new way forward. Outside of the office, you can find me practicing hot yoga, spending time outdoors, playing video games, making art, or catching up on reality TV. These varied interests keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of joy, creativity, and rest, all values I bring into my work with you.

I believe that healing involves the mind, body and soul. I focus primarily on relational methods, as I believe that the therapeutic bond is a place to practice and explore new ways of connecting, being vulnerable, feeling emotions, receiving care, and building self-awareness. My main methods of therapy are Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and Neuro-Affective Relational Model (NARM), both of which focus on using relationship to bring out each individual’s self-righting tendencies and heal past wounds.. I also am certified in EMDR and the DIR/Floortime developmental play therapy model. I have training in various parenting and family therapy methods, including Circle of Security and Developmental Dyadic Psychotherapy. I have a Bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from Miami University in Ohio, an MBA from Northwestern University in Evanston, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. My Colorado license is #9925261. I am lucky to be married to a wonderful husband and have three boys, all beginning their journey into adulthood. I love to hike, read, and sit by the firepit with friends and family.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy cooking and baking; getting outside to hike, run, or ski; and catching live music when I can. I also love spending time with friends and making space for the people and activities that help me feel connected, grounded, and recharged.
