Therapists for college students near University of Colorado Boulder
Everyone carries a story, and some chapters take immense courage to face. I support clients living with complex trauma and dissociation, anxiety, personality disorders in understanding how past experiences still echo today. Therapy can feel overwhelming, but my goal is to be a steady, compassionate guide. Together we create safety, curiosity, and connection with all parts of self. My approach is direct yet deeply compassionate, grounded in warmth, authenticity, and trust. Landing here might feel uncertain, but it’s a brave first step toward wholeness and healing.
My goal for you is to provide a safe space that allows you to explore those areas of your life that are hindering you showing up as your best self. My practice style is one of a whole person approach, taking into consideration your own personal world, the interactions, challenges, successes and your supportive relationships. My practice approach is tailored to your needs and may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR/ Trauma Therapy, Goal-Oriented Brief Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, as well as yoga and meditation if that resonates with you and your path of healing. I practice from a non judgmental perspective and provide a safe environment to facilitate healing. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, feeling stressed and unbalanced or the loss of a loved one or relationship, I can help you work through challenges and develop goals to become grounded again. The path to becoming whole again can often take someone walking beside you and encouraging you, while facilitating the exploration of your own solutions. You know deep down in your heart of hearts what it is you may need, and I am here to help you draw on that inner resiliency, providing tools and skills that you can take with you as you face life head on.
I help self-aware overthinkers break free from old patterns and learn to trust themselves more deeply. My clients are often insightful, motivated, and may have been in therapy before, but still find themselves stuck in cycles of overwhelm, self-doubt, people-pleasing, and overthinking. Through our work, you'll learn to trust your own voice, show up authentically in your relationships, and finally feel at home — koselig — in your own skin. Many of my clients grew up in homes where their physical needs were met, but their emotional experiences were minimized, dismissed, or misunderstood. As a result, they learned that their feelings were "too much" and became disconnected from their own emotional world. As adults, they often struggle with anxiety, rumination, self-trust, and maintaining healthy, authentic relationships. They may appear capable and self-aware on the outside while feeling disconnected from themselves on the inside. I believe many of the patterns that once helped you survive are now keeping you from fully being yourself. Rather than judging or fighting those patterns, we'll approach them with curiosity and compassion, helping you reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been buried beneath fear, doubt, and old expectations. You don't need to keep abandoning yourself to belong. I'd love to journey alongside you as you come home to who you've been all along— and feel confident, connected, and koselig in your own skin.
I am a Clinical Social Worker and therapist specializing in trauma, attachment, identity, and LGBTQIA+ issues for adults. With nearly four years of experience in both higher levels of care and outpatient settings, I work with adults of all backgrounds to help you build a more compassionate and full view of yourself so you can face life's challenges more effectively. I believe collaboration is the foundation of healing. This is your treatment and your therapy, and it should be approached in a way that truly works for you. I look forward to finding that healing and a new sense of self together with you. You have the right to self-determination, and my approach centers on collaboration and empowerment to help you achieve just that. As the expert in your own life, what often helps most is seeing things from a different perspective. I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems, and narrative therapy, adjusting my approach based on your current needs rather than following one rigid method. My style balances honesty and directness with compassion and gentleness, and I'm always willing to adjust and regularly check in on how I can be most effective for you. My path to becoming a therapist began with my own journey of seeking to answer questions about who I am and whether I could actually heal. Approaching myself with both honesty and love, I've found, is the path to both of those things. I hope to help you find yourself in new and exciting ways, too. I love sketching and playing guitar, and singing is a big part of my life. I also enjoy hiking, thrift shopping, and dancing.
We all have stories, narratives, truths. The way we interpret and experience the world is unique to each individual. It’s about understanding how the fabric of your life is woven and can be potentially rewoven. It is nearly impossible to avoid societal messages telling us how we should think, feel, behave. For that reason, it can be exhausting to manage external pressures, and oftentimes your self-care and mental health is compromised. Therapy can look different for each person. I meet you where you are at and support you in getting to where you strive to be. Therapy can be a place to develop skills, feel heard, and feel empowered. No issue is too difficult, shameful, or embarrassing to bring to the table, and I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable and welcomed no matter what. My approach is inherently empathetic, non-judgmental, and strengths based. I often take a mindful approach to our sessions. I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), but I emphasize a collaborative environment in order to fit what works best for you.

I believe healing your relationships with others starts by healing your relationship with yourself. I guide clients through the healing process by providing the tools needed to connect with yourself, your body, and the world around you. Through therapy, I believe it is possible to improve your self-esteem, grow interpersonal relationships, and end negative thought patterns. I am passionate about providing an accessible therapy experience by operating from a trauma-informed and multicultural lens. When working with couples, I emphasize the importance of communication and empathy and honor the uniqueness and nuance of each individual. I utilize empathy, humor, and curiosity to connect with clients on a genuine, human level. I'm enthusiastic about helping others tackle issues including depression, interpersonal issues, eating disorders, negative self-talk, body image, anxiety, addiction, and self-harm through modalities such as ACT, DBT, CBT, Gottman principles and person-centered therapy. The first step of a long journey is always the most challenging. I encourage you to reach out for help and allow me to meet you along your route- to help guide you towards inner-peace and healing. I want to build upon the "traditional" therapy experience- in addition to telehealth and in-office sessions, I also offer connection through movement and nature.

Welcome! Many women in college come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unsure, often caught in patterns they’re ready to change. You might be navigating college adjustments, emotional stress, social or relationship challenges, trauma or loss, attachment patterns, self-discovery, spirituality, self-esteem or belonging, women’s issues, or major life transitions. Life brings both pain and beauty, and reaching out for support takes courage. My work offers a warm, holistic, and collaborative space to explore these experiences with care, creativity, and solution-focused guidance. Somatic psychotherapy with me provides a space to breathe, slow down, and connect with your inner life and wisdom. Drawing from Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and Dance/Movement Therapy, I integrate body awareness, nervous system and parts work, creative expression, and practical tools to support emotional regulation, insight, and meaningful change. Healing often begins in small moments of being truly met. I believe it unfolds through authentic, non-judgmental connection, where curiosity, attunement, and care create space to rediscover who you are. I offer a warm, supportive presence that nurtures resilience, clarity, self-trust, joy, and a deepening sense of belonging within yourself. I am a therapist specializing in a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, identity issues, LGBTQIA+ identity and relationships, life transitions, men's health, relationship issues, self-esteem, sexual health, stress management, and student mental health — working with patients of all ages. With more than eight years of experience in direct care mental health settings and a background as a former educator, I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic relationship. I believe that healing is a collaborative process and am committed to working alongside people from all walks of life to help you navigate your challenges and discover solutions that are right for you. My practice is founded on evidence-based and integrative modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), humanistic, and collaborative approaches. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, I tailor therapy to meet you where you are. My goal is to create a space where processing your experiences, build new understanding, and work toward meaningful goals all come together, so that every session moves you forward in a way that feels both grounded and purposeful. My path to becoming a therapist grew naturally out of my work as an educator. Many of my former students sought me out specifically, recognizing that they needed someone to direct and honest with them about their patterns and behaviors. Being surrounded by therapists throughout that time, I found myself continually inspired by the depth and impact of their work. That inspiration led me here. Today, I bring that same directness into the therapy room, helping you explore how your feelings and emotions connect to your history and how patterns, often without our awareness. By shining a light on those cycles, we can begin to understand them and, together, find a new way forward. Outside of the office, you can find me practicing hot yoga, spending time outdoors, playing video games, making art, or catching up on reality TV. These varied interests keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of joy, creativity, and rest, all values I bring into my work with you.

Hi, I’m Ana, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy in Colorado. You may appear to have everything together, yet inside you feel exhausted, disconnected, or like you are constantly masking parts of who you are. Many of the people I work with feel caught between identities, cultures, or expectations that never quite feel like home. I work with young adults and adults (ages 18-30s) navigating trauma symptoms, burnout, high-functioning anxiety, and feeling detached from themselves. Many are college students or early-career professionals trying to understand who they are and build a life that feels more aligned with their identity and values. My approach centers the connection between identity, culture/environment, and the whole Self--mind, body, heart, spirit, and soul. Drawing from somatic therapy, trauma-informed care, multicultural therapy, IFS-informed parts work, and systems perspectives, I help clients understand the protective patterns that once served them, reconnect with themselves on a deeper level, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, intentional, and aligned with who they are. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you have not always felt understood or supported in other spaces. I offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation where we can talk about what brings you here, answer any questions you may have, and explore whether working together feels like the right fit for you.
