Whether due to stormy family dynamics, unstable relationships, first-gen, LGBTQ, 'adulting', or having to navigate the never-ending COVID pandemic - life can become unmanageable! In the past five years with the University of Florida, I've had the tremendous joy of helping people (help themselves) through these storms - recent/old trauma, loving-and-conflictual relationships, coming to more peace and power with one's identity, more clarity and success at academics and career aspirations. You can count on me to be authentic and open, to come from a place of tenderness, warmth, and humor. Based in genuine, caring listening I try to offer everything possible to help you achieve lasting change. I'm a licensed psychologist (Hawaii - where I lived for years, Florida and Colorado), and am familiar with key areas of the scientific, empirical work and helps articulate trauma, anxiety and depression - and this points powerfully to what we can do to heal. My scholarly research and clinical experiences led to the completion of a book, “The Bruised Heart”. This book provides both in-depth information on the science of emotional healing and multiple clinical examples of real people (clients) whom I was so fortunate to know. I'm especially a good fit for anyone that may be (or called) “hypersensitive”, anyone who longs for authentic friendship, anyone who feels destabilized, perhaps following a break-up or stemming from chaotic family patterns. I love working with gifted and high IQ individuals, for example, with medical students, post docs, artists, and musicians who are highly intelligent but “underperforming” and simply suffering. And I have a passion for first-gen students, and has worked with many from, for example, Colombia, Brazil and Iran. Additionally, I think I am a strong fit for anyone who passionate about psychospiritual approaches to healing, growth and transformation. There are very realistic, nonabstract, doable ways to integrate forms of meditation into one’s busy life and this can be a gamechanger. Finally, I supervise third-year psychiatry residents and routinely assist clients in exploring medication options.

We'll work together to make change happen fast so that what you want is more likely to become reality. I won’t just nod along, so if you're looking for someone who doesn't skirt around the issues, you're on the right profile. I have experience working with a with a variety of concerns, including but not limited to: relationship distress, mood disorders, anxiety, impulsive behavior, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, maladaptive perfectionism, and teens at risk for personality disorders. I'm well-versed in both DBT and RO-DBT, both of which shape my approach to therapy. I have been intensively trained in Radically-Open DBT (RO-DBT), a specialized treatment for Chronic Depression, Anorexia-Nervosa, and disorders of Over-Control (OC). Our practice, PSYCHē, is a private network of therapists across multiple states. Our job is to pair our clients with great clinicians all over the country. PSYCHē also offers various Standard DBT groups and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) skills classes online ranging from $100-$125. Groups are like a class, not therapy. New members can begin right away! For younger patients, I incorporate play therapy as a natural and effective way to help children express themselves and process their experiences. For adolescents and adults, we'll work together using trauma-informed care and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to build emotional regulation skills, process difficult experiences, and improve your overall well-being. What you can always expect is a supportive environment where you feel safe to be yourself. My style is flexible, and I genuinely care about helping you better understand yourself and develop the tools to feel more in control of your emotions and your life. My path to becoming a therapist began with a deep curiosity about how people experience and cope with difficult emotions and life's challenges. That curiosity grew into a calling, a commitment to offering compassionate, trauma-informed care that truly meets each patient where they are. Every session, I bring a warm, patient, and supportive presence, creating space for you to express yourself openly, build meaningful insight, and develop the skills you need to grow. It's work I find deeply rewarding as I help guide you toward healing and a more balanced life. Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy staying active through exercise, which helps me maintain balance and well-being. I’m passionate about volunteering with animals, including involvement in equine-assisted therapy settings, where I’ve seen firsthand the powerful connection between humans and animals. These activities help me stay grounded, present, and connected – values I bring into my work with clients.

Hi, I’m Ana, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy in Colorado. You may appear to have everything together, yet inside you feel exhausted, disconnected, or like you are constantly masking parts of who you are. Many of the people I work with feel caught between identities, cultures, or expectations that never quite feel like home. I work with young adults and adults (ages 18-30s) navigating trauma symptoms, burnout, high-functioning anxiety, and feeling detached from themselves. Many are college students or early-career professionals trying to understand who they are and build a life that feels more aligned with their identity and values. My approach centers the connection between identity, culture/environment, and the whole Self--mind, body, heart, spirit, and soul. Drawing from somatic therapy, trauma-informed care, multicultural therapy, IFS-informed parts work, and systems perspectives, I help clients understand the protective patterns that once served them, reconnect with themselves on a deeper level, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, intentional, and aligned with who they are. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you have not always felt understood or supported in other spaces. I offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation where we can talk about what brings you here, answer any questions you may have, and explore whether working together feels like the right fit for you.
Hi there! We are an outpatient practice offering in-person and virtual appointments. We specialize in working with those navigating the tricky terrain of growing up—dealing with friendship shifts, school pressure, big emotions, and the journey of self-discovery. Many of the clients who find us describe themselves as high-performing yet often struggling with things such as: suspected or diagnosed ADHD, chronic anxiety, burnout, and who are seeking balance amidst life's demands. Their work often centers on identity exploration, navigating interpersonal relationships, building self-esteem, developing a more compassionate relationship with their bodies and food, and adapting to life transitions. Together, we explore how anxiety shows up, how boundaries can feel empowering, and what it looks like to build relationships (with yourself and others) that feel safe, reciprocal, and genuine. Wherever you are in your life journey, we are here to come along side you and support you in the next steps. We truly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. We encourage you to reach out for a consultation call to determine how we can best support you and answer any questions you might have about the therapy process.
College can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming, confusing, or lonely - especially when you’re trying to figure out who you are and where you fit. Many of the students I work with feel pressure to have it all together while quietly struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, or feeling disconnected from themselves and others. Maybe you’re navigating identity, managing ADHD, feeling the weight of family expectations, or just trying to find your place in all the change. I work best with students who are curious about themselves and want a space where they can be real, reflect, and feel supported. Therapy with me is LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent-affirming, and my goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected - both in your relationships and in your own skin. In my office, you’ll find tea, cozy blankets, and art supplies - whatever helps you settle in and feel like you can just be. My therapy dog, Stevie, can also join for sessions as a comforting buddy or for intentional animal-assisted interventions. You can email/call/text to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. It’s completely normal, and encouraged, to explore a few therapists before finding the right one. This call is simply a chance for us both to see if we click. No pressure, just support!
