I work with folks who experience anxiety, trauma, difficulty with life transitions, struggles with family dynamics, difficulty setting appropriate boundaries and LGBTQIA+ related struggles. I work to create a safe space for you to feel comfortable, supported and heard throughout the therapy process. We will work together to develop coping skills and utilize your inner strengths to achieve your goals. I believe in highlighting strengths, empowering individuals and helping others set healthy boundaries. I offer an empathetic place to process while also challenging you to be outside your comfort zone. I provide LGBTQIA+ affirmative care and I am also EMDR Trained.

Life is full of changes. Some anticipated, and others that catch us off guard. I work with teens, college students, and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, and depression. I approach every person with openness, curiosity, and a little bit of humor. I incorporate evidence-based treatments such as CBT and Solution Focused Therapy. I believe that healing can happen alongside moments of laughter, lightness, and connection. I aim to provide a space that is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I specialize in anxiety, ADHD, and life transitions. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to do it alone. If you think I may be a good fit for you, I invite you to reach out to me via email. I offer a free 15 minute consultation call to discuss your goals for therapy.

I help adults in all phases of life. I help my clients work through new and past traumas, and through typical or unexpected life transitions. In therapy we can make meaning, find purpose, or forge new paths. Many clients come for help managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, or addictions. If you need help but don't know what questions to ask, that's okay! You don't have to know exactly what's wrong or what you want. Finding out is part of the process! Therapy can be to heal, recover, sort through, reconnect, rejuvenate, strengthen, or change aspects of your life to make it more manageable & meaningful. I primarily work with college-age students as they navigate this transitional time in their lives. I currently have early and late evening appointments as well as Saturdays 10-1.

Hi, I’m Emma. I’ve been the trusted guide for many people looking to make meaningful change in their life, and I’d love to help you too. You can look to me for help discovering what motivates you, what will help you grow, what invisible scripts and stories have been holding you back and what identity feels most true. We will work together on the hard questions, the uncomfortable feelings, the painful narratives. I get it, life can be a bit much sometimes. Stress can come at you from every angle. Identity issues can leave you unsure of who you are. Relationship issues can leave you feeling disconnected and alone. I’m tough, I’m fair and I’m caring. I approach my work with an eclectic style, having been trained in a wide range of specialities and identity categories. Doing everything "right" but still anxious? Able to “intellectualize” your feelings but not actually process them? Traditional talk therapy hasn't worked? I specialize with working with high performers/achievers, neurodivergent (mainly ADHD and/or Autism), and LGBTQIA+ populations. I primarily work with graduate students, young professionals, and professionals. I have experience working mainly with anxiety, depression, relational trauma, life transitions (e.g., transition to adulthood, stress management, grief and loss, identity exploration and development), and providing affirmation around neurodivergent, and LGBTQ+ identities. - Please refer to my PsychToday link (https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/emily-monahan-morang-north-andover-ma/1210251) for my full bio and group practice website information with also information about insurances taken. - More about me: Hello, my name is Emily Monahan-Morang. I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), and I’m passionate about helping those with late-diagnosed or suspected Autism/ADHD who want to understand how AuDHD impacts them in areas personally and professionally. Most of my patients are in their 20s and 30s, and part of the LGBTQIA+ community who struggle with anxiety, stress, overwhelm, and burnout around their high-pressure jobs/career/industry (e.g., academia, healthcare, STEM). I help them develop coping skills, set boundaries, and learn how to navigate the world as a neurodivergent person. I use a neuroaffirming approach, I have a direct, honest, and blunt style, and mainly utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Internal Family Systems to help manage stressors around job/career and as a neurodivergent person. Solid experience also with working with those with grief who lost a parent at a young age.

College can feel like a constant balancing act between expectations, relationships, and the pressure to have it all figured out. I specialize in working with high-achieving individuals who look successful on the outside but privately struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, and self-doubt. Many of my clients are insightful and self-aware–they know why they feel the way they do, but that insight alone hasn’t been enough to shift how they feel. My approach focuses on helping you reconnect with your emotional experiences as valuable sources of information, not something to fix or avoid. Together, we’ll explore what’s beneath the overthinking so you can feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally resilient. Clients describe me as warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. I create a space where you can feel both deeply supported and gently challenged. If this resonates, I’d love to connect for a free consultation.

I believe therapy can make a profound, positive impact, helping you heal and becoming the best version of yourself. My approach is collaborative—getting to know you, understanding your concerns, and working together to create treatment goals that improve your mental health. I support clients facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, prenatal and postpartum depression, and substance use. I also work with clients around racial and immigrant identity, and life transitions in young adulthood. In our sessions, I provide a safe, inclusive space where you can feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. I’m a social person who enjoys hiking, traveling, and exploring creativity through stand-up comedy and improv. My warmth and humor help create a relaxed environment where you can feel at ease while we work through your challenges. If you often hold your feelings in, struggle to find someone to talk to, or cope with trauma through unhealthy habits like substance use, now may be the time to seek help. Therapy is a sign of strength, not weakness—taking the first step toward healing is brave and empowering, and I’m here to support you in becoming a happier, healthier version of yourself.
