With more than five years of experience as a trauma-informed therapist, I work with teens and adults navigating trauma, mood disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions. Beyond the clinical work, what drives me most is a genuine passion for connecting with the people I have the privilege of working with. Therapeutic relationships built on trust and authenticity are at the heart of everything I do. When you feel safe enough to be truly open, not just with me but with yourself, something powerful becomes possible. That vulnerability is where growth begins, and it's something I hold with great care. Watching someone gain insight, deepen their self-awareness, and step closer to the person they aspire to be is, without question, the most rewarding part of this work. It's why I show up as a supportive, collaborative, and reliable partner in every person's journey, and why I look forward to doing the same for you. Every person who walks through my door brings a unique story, and the way I work with you reflects that. Care that's genuinely effective isn't one-size-fits-all, so I tailor each aspect of our work to your specific needs, goals, and lived experiences. From the first session, building a strong, authentic rapport is my priority, because real motivation and lasting change grow out of feeling truly seen and supported. You can expect a space that is safe, collaborative, and free of judgment. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy, woven together with other evidence-based approaches as your journey calls for them, we'll work to deepen your self-awareness, strengthen your coping skills, and cultivate the tools that support your mental health for the long term. The goal isn't just to help you feel better in the moment; it's to help you grow into the steadiness and confidence that carry you forward. My path to becoming a therapist began with a strong desire to feel understood and a deep curiosity about the human experience. That longing to connect and understand others shaped the way I show up for my patients, with compassion, patience, and genuine empathy. As a Black and Latina woman, I bring a culturally informed perspective to my practice, along with a sincere commitment to stepping outside my own frame of reference to explore and honor the experiences of people from all backgrounds and walks of life. This perspective enriches the care I offer and deepens the connection we build together. In my personal time, I prioritize activities that support balance, creativity, and overall well-being. Reading and crocheting serve as mindful, creative outlets, while a consistent exercise routine and a love of hiking keep me grounded in both body and mind. Staying connected with friends and family is equally important to me, and I make intentional time to nurture those relationships. That commitment to a well-rounded life is something I carry into my work with you.
With seven years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, helping people navigate life transitions, behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, self-esteem concerns, attachment issues, and relationship difficulties. My goal is to meet you where you are. Whether you're carrying something heavy or simply searching for a clearer path forward, I'm committed to creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, seen, supported, and understood. When you feel that kind of safety, meaningful growth becomes possible — and that's what we'll work toward together: healing, resilience, and the life you envision for yourself. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support you as we work together toward your goals. In our sessions, you can expect a nonjudgmental space where you feel empowered to share your experiences, explore challenges, build on your strengths, and create meaningful growth and change. Because every person's journey is unique, I tailor treatment to your individual needs and goals. My warm, empathetic approach may draw on person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), alongside other evidence-based interventions, to provide care that is personalized, collaborative, and genuinely responsive to your experiences. My path to becoming a therapist began with a genuine desire to understand people and how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors shape the lives we live. That curiosity led me toward direct work with families, children, adolescents, and young adults in crisis, experiences that deepened my commitment to trauma-informed, individualized care. Working alongside people in some of their most difficult moments strengthened my ability to show up with compassion, empathy, and understanding, in an environment where people feel genuinely supported. I love playing softball and catching baseball games whenever I can. When I'm not on the field or in the stands, I enjoy watching movies and TV, traveling, and spending time with the friends, family, and loved ones who matter most to me.

Is it challenging to identify, validate, or express your feelings and set boundaries to honor your needs? I am dedicated to providing a safe, empathetic space that encourages vulnerable expression. Do you want to explore your past, inner world, and relationship patterns? You may want to change your life, but you're not sure how or what to change. Perhaps you feel like you're not living in alignment with who you really are, or that there's something blocking you from reaching your potential. You may have trouble managing your emotions, thoughts, or relationships. You may want a place to unpack your history and develop a better understanding of yourself. If you relate to any of the feelings above, I can help. When we begin work together, we are going on a journey to discover more about what you already know, and what may be hidden beneath the surface. I GREW UP IN THE IN-BETWEEN — moving back and forth between the US and China, I know first-hand what it is like to be faced with the unknown, the struggle of finding yourself in a new place, a new culture, a new stage of life, or a new identity. I FIND JOY in helping people find the pieces of themselves they can rely on and fall in love with through it all. My goal is to honor the beauty of your existence while teaching you the skills that can carry you through rougher times. The process of healing, learning who you are and what you need to care for yourself, is a challenging but rewarding one. IT TAKES COURAGE to confront and accept yourself completely, and I hope to provide a compassionate and safe space for you to explore, to grieve, to rage, or to find joy in everything that you've experienced. The fact that you have survived everything so far to be here now is more important than anything else. It is an honor for me to witness your courage and your strength. IT IS A PRIVILEGE to be a part of your journey. I admire you. You matter to me.
With five years of social work experience, including three years providing psychotherapy, I'm a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who works with children, adolescents, young adults, women, and families. I’m dedicated to helping patients navigate the lasting effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and other experiences that leave people feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck. At the center of my practice is the belief that every individual is the expert on their own life, one that continues to help me be a compassionate partner in your journey toward healing, growth, and self-acceptance. I look forward to creating a space together where you feel safe to explore challenges, celebrate growth, and discover the strengths that already exist within you. My approach is trauma-informed and attachment-based, incorporating mindfulness practices to support healing and personal growth. It's also warm, person-centered, and collaborative, grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of the healing process. Building a genuine, personalized connection with each person I work with is something I'm passionate about, because feeling safe, supported, and empowered makes all the difference. In practice, that means drawing on a range of approaches tailored to your unique goals and strengths. These include person-centered therapy, trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, and elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Together, these tools help you build insight, strengthen self-compassion, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. Sessions are flexible by design; our work takes the shape you need it to. From a young age, I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to supporting and connecting with others. Throughout grade school, teachers often described me as empathetic and compassionate – qualities that, in time, pointed me clearly toward a career in mental health. In college, I discovered a passion for psychology and the opportunity to better understand the complexities of human behavior. That curiosity led me to pursue my Master of Social Work, deepening my understanding of the ways mental health, life experiences, relationships, and larger systems shape our well-being. These experiences strengthened my commitment to and passion for personalized care, and confirmed what I'd believed for a long time: that healing happens best in a space that feels warm, collaborative, and genuinely yours. Now, I bring this same curiosity, compassion, and respect for your unique story to every session. When I'm not in session, you'll often find me listening to a mystery or psychological thriller audiobook, crocheting, or spending an afternoon in a nearby park with my favorite salty snack — chips and dip or cheese and crackers, to be specific. At home, I'm endlessly entertained by my two cats: Penny, a tortie, and Ozzy, an orange tabby. Discovering new movies and TV shows is another favorite pastime, and I'm always happy to talk about my love of food!
