Welcome and thanks for being here! I work with: -Adult College Students - Adults navigating anxiety, grief, loss and impact of traumatic experiences -Caregivers providing support for parents, children or as part of professional roles -Professionals navigating chronic stress and high performance strain My Approach: I work side by side with clients with the hope to help them cultivate long lasting therapeutic outcomes and experience culturally responsive growth oriented healing journeys. If you work with me, you can expect to be regularly invited to offer feedback on your experience so we can co-facilitate a steady movement towards your goals. To help explore sources of current imbalances, I see people holistically, within the contexts of their lives and as parts of larger structures and systems that constantly impact their health. A background as a Master Certified Health Coach and certified teacher of a somatic mindfulness based practice since 2010 informs my whole-person wellness approach to counseling and therapy. While completing my graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling, I received training and offered counseling at Portland State University in the Community Counseling Clinic and at the Student Health and Counseling Center (SHAC) where I held individual counseling sessions, offered group psychoeducation and co-facilitated group therapy for social anxiety and group counseling for international students navigating transitions and cultural complexities. Psychotherapeutic Approaches: Trauma informed, relational, humanistic-existential and psychodynamic. Depending on each person’s needs, tools from different modalities can be used including: EMDR, somatic interventions, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Brief Psychodynamic Therapy. Do you feel ready to explore and heal what’s getting in the way of you living your most joyful, creative, connected life? Are depression and anxiety keeping you either feeling weighed down, dull, and purposeless, or else on high alert and living from a place of fear and busyness round the clock? Are habitual thought-loops and tensions in the body keeping you in a perpetual state of mistrust, perfectionism/people-pleasing, and/or judgement towards yourself and others? Often, depression and anxiety are the result of an impulse getting “stuck” in the system and not being able complete its cycle. In my practice, I use a blend of Somatic Experiencing, Voice Dialogue Parts Work, and mindfulness-based present moment inquiry to create a compassionate and attuned space of inner exploration and healing. My goal is to help you move through "unfinished business" stored in the body and the mind, so that you can live in greater wellbeing and freedom. I am here to help you gently release the shame, fear and mistrust that may be holding you back from delighting in your life and in your connections to humans and to the more-than-human world.

I identify as a queer woman and specialize with LGBT folks. Poly and kink friendly! I may be a good fit for you if you want a therapist who is genuine, transparent, warm, and friendly, who sees you as a unique individual and tailors our work to identify and meet your needs. I bring a social justice lens and understanding of systems of oppression into therapeutic work. I will tell you what I am thinking, will challenge you intellectually, and actively engage with you. I will be open and honest in answering your questions, work collaboratively with you, describe our options, and check in often. Clients often tell me that our work has helped them to sort through their thoughts and feelings to gain clarity, to grow, to learn about themselves, to develop confidence, and to feel empowered to make important decisions. I employ a flexible approach tailored to the needs of each client. I also provide assessments/letters for gender affirming surgery. It is difficult to find the right therapist based on a short profile! Feel free to contact me with any questions. I am currently accepting clients for telehealth only. I accept Aetna, GEHA, Pacific Source, and Meritain insurance and out of network insurance benefits.

I offer grief counseling as a significant portion of my practice as well. It is an honor for me to provide an affirming relationship to which you can bring all the different parts of yourself, and come to know and love them more.

We do not have therapists or a therapy practice, but focus exclusively on psychological testing, assessment, and consultation services

Trauma lives in the body. Yet, we can live too much in our head, cut off from our heart and body, leaving trauma active in us. Together we can process the trauma at a pace that works for you, reaching a personal balance between the heart, body, and mind. The society we live in doesn't always fit our needs, which is enough to create a great deal of anxiety for anyone. We don't all think the same ways, and we are all learning more and more how diverse our brains and experiences in life can be. For neurodiverse people in particular, living in a society tailored to neurotypical individuals, can be outright traumatizing. I support and encourage neurodiverse communication styles, individual ways of thinking, and all varieties of emotional expression in therapy. Allow me to listen and help as you develop your own understanding in your own words. When you can see the what and why of your patterns, I can help you figure out how to heal. I will follow your lead on what you want out of therapy. Seeing so many struggle to deal with the dehumanization and burdens that systemic problems press on us under colonialism and white supremacy, I was drawn to therapy with a lens for justice and equity. I deeply value the rapport we can build together, and would feel honored and humbled if you share your story with me. I would love to collaborate with you on your healing journey. To make sure I meet your needs, I offer a free 15 minute meet and greet consultations by phone or video call, to see if I am a good fit for you. Please email me to schedule a consultation if you are curious or interested.

I believe that darkness is an opportunity to find our own true light. Pain is a guide that leads us to be fully present with our experiences and unearth their true meaning and wisdom. We all have the ability to find and know our truth. We hold our own healing and answers deep within ourselves. My role is to provide a nurturing, respectful environment where I stay connected and present with you in this discovery process. Although this may be challenging and uncomfortable at times, it will lead you to more self-appreciation and self-love in your healing journey. I use an eclectic and integrative approach unique to you which includes Client-Centered, Attachment Theory, Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Hakomi. I do not take this work lightly and am deeply humbled and privileged to walk with you through your individual healing journey. I have a deep appreciation for the human experience and I value diversity. I work with people of all races, spiritual faiths, and LGBTQ community. Together, we will honor all of your experiences and find meaning for your past to propel you into a more compelling future.

Hi, I'm Allison! I work with folks who are curious about ADHD or other forms of neurodivergence that don’t fit the “typical” profile. Many of my clients also feel anxious, burned out, or emotionally overwhelmed and want clarity, self-understanding, and tools to work with their brain in a way that feels supportive and allows for more ease in daily life. I specialize in ADHD therapy and assessment, anxiety, and neurodivergent-affirming care, with particular attention to presentations in female identifying, AFAB, and gender-diverse clients. I use a holistic approach that integrates IFS, DBT, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation to support self-compassion, emotional regulation, and practical daily skills. If you’re seeking clarity, relief, or a better understanding of yourself and your mind, I honor how complex that process can be—especially when things haven’t always made sense before. I offer a collaborative, affirming space where we move at your pace and focus on care that supports insight, practical change, and your whole self.

I provide individual teletherapy for adults across the state of Oregon. I have a passion for helping people heal from trauma, decrease anxiety, and improve their self-esteem. Before patients come to see me, they “feel bad” almost reflexively and frequently experience high anxiety. They are wracked with feelings of guilt and may be afraid of upsetting people. They often over-extend themselves in the name of service to others. On the outside, my clients look like they have it together but feel internally like they are just treading water. If that sounds familiar, you’ve come to the right place. Counseling may be for you if: You find it easier to focus on other’s emotions and needs than on your own. You like to think and are insightful, but don’t always know how to feel. You have difficulty experiencing emotions beyond an overwhelming sense of guilt or just “feeling bad.” You feel resentful that other people don’t work as hard as you, but are terrified to ask for what you want or need from others. You are often anxious or tense; relaxation and rest feel nearly impossible. You feel trapped by family pressures or relationships that refuse to evolve. I specialize in treating trauma (especially complex or childhood trauma), anxiety, and difficulties with self-esteem.
