Welcome to the beginning of your journey through change and fulfillment. People often present to therapy with many challenges within their life. These can be longstanding emotional troubles from depression to anxiety and trauma. Life can sometimes be difficult to face with multiple obstacles presenting at the same time. Engaging in a thoughtful plan with guidance from an experienced therapist can help you to create a life that is more satisfying and therefore naturally meet your personal goals. Let’s begin. With over 15 years of experience, I can assist clients across the spectrum of disorders, life challenges and also can guide in navigating the systems in life, from mental health, work stress, relationships, financial difficulties, disability and life transitions. My specialties are PTSD, LGBTIQ and African American therapy/advocacy as well as depression. Entering a therapeutic relationship can be difficult and the fact that you are here says you are ready to create change. Be patient with yourself and express kindness for what you have already achieved. My approach is non-judgmental and my goal is to allow full expression within treatment. Have you found yourself struggling with feeling overwhelmed way more than you would like to admit? Has your anxiety washed over you with no rhyme or reason, only to leave you feeling exhausted and confused? Transitioning back to "normal life" and having adult responsibilities is hard enough, but when you add anxiety to the mix--things tend to get interesting (and probably not in the way you would like). My perspective in therapy is that everyone has their own “coping skills toolbox” and it is my job to help you polish the rusty tools that you haven’t used in a while and make room for new and improved tools that are just for you. I will be your accountability partner by supporting and challenging you when needed. While sometimes our lives can feel out of control, many times all we need is a little boost from an outside person to help us move through overwhelming situations. I believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship between therapist and client, so please reach out for a free 15 minute consultation to see if we would be a good fit!
Hey there! I’m a licensed mental health counselor trained in EMDR, and I run a fully virtual therapy practice serving students in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. I specialize in helping college students who are navigating anxiety, depression, mood swings, difficult life transitions, and PTSD. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by coursework, adjusting to dorm life, or coping with past trauma, I offer a safe, judgment-free space where we can work together to build coping skills, regulate emotions, and find more balance. Whether you need support for daily stressors or deeper EMDR-focused trauma work, you don’t have to face these challenges alone—I’m here to help you thrive in college and beyond.
People usually don’t come to therapy because everything is going great — something’s off, something hurts, or something just isn’t working. Maybe you're overwhelmed, stuck in anxiety spirals, in a relationship that feels like a full-time job, or replaying the same patterns on a loop and wondering why life feels like a bad rerun. Whether it’s stress, communication breakdowns, or feeling like you’ve become everyone’s emotional support human, we’ll sort through the mess together. The goal is to help you move forward with more clarity, confidence, and a little less chaos in your day-to-day. I also specialize in helping those impacted by narcissistic behavior, whether you're spotting some of those traits in yourself, or you're in a relationship that feels confusing, one-sided, or emotionally draining. These patterns can be difficult to untangle, but together we can help make sense of it. My style blends empathy, curiosity, real talk, and humor—because sometimes if you don’t laugh, you cry. I’m here to support you and gently challenge old habits. Growth is messy, awkward, and sometimes uncomfortable, but it’s also where the good stuff lives. If you're ready to dive in- not just to feel better, but to do better- I’m here for it.

Hi there! My name is Sienna, and I am an LCMHCA in NC. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2025 with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with an emphasis in addiction. I also graduated from Appalachian State in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, concentrating in Human Services. I believe therapy is a space where you can come exactly as you are. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all mentality, meaning each session is tailored specifically to you. Most of my experience comes from working with the neurodivergent community as well as students and young adults. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, OCD, interpersonal conflict, substance use, trauma, and PTSD. I also use an eclectic approach that is person-centered and incorporates ACT, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. Currently I am seeing clients via telehealth in NC.

I work with clients who are grappling with anxiety, depression, and stress. Many are dealing with changes in their family, including substance use, codependency, and relationship issues. My clients are diverse but they all want to feel understood, heard, and validated. The most important part of therapy is the rapport between the clinician and the client, which is known as unconditional positive regard. The client needs to feel supported so that they can freely discuss the presenting problem. Throughout this process, I strive to be warm, empathetic, and knowledgeable; clients have previously described me as patient and open minded.
Carolina Counseling currently has two therapists that use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help individuals understand how their feelings, thoughts and behaviors are all connected. They both listen without judging and offer a safe place where you can come and share whatever is needed. One therapist offers a Christian perspective if desired.

I am a licensed psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of anxiety and childhood trauma. I have clinical experience across crisis intervention, substance use treatment, and outpatient therapy settings, working with individuals experiencing acute distress as well as ongoing mental health concerns. My approach is grounded in the belief that unresolved trauma can significantly influence emotional regulation, self-concept, and interpersonal functioning. Clients often seek treatment when they feel “stuck,” overwhelmed, or notice persistent patterns related to past experiences that interfere with daily functioning, relationships, or goal attainment. I provide a supportive, structured therapeutic environment where clients can explore these concerns, develop insight, and work toward sustainable change. I utilize evidence-based modalities including Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Treatment focuses on increasing self-awareness, processing traumatic experiences, addressing maladaptive thought and behavior patterns, and strengthening coping skills. Therapy is collaborative and tailored to each client’s clinical needs and treatment goals. I welcome individuals seeking to engage in therapy to address anxiety, trauma-related concerns, and personal growth.

Let me put it simply: being a college student is hard. There are more expectations than ever placed on young adults today and it's a time of tremendous change, transition, and instability. Emotions are a normal part of being human, but sometimes those emotions seem so overwhelming that you might start to feel out of control and alone. It can feel as though no one understands you and no one is really on your side. It might even feel as though your friendships or other relationships are more stressful than they are helpful. That's where I come in. My goal is to provide a safe, stable space and support for you to navigate all of the difficult relationships, changes, and challenges you're experiencing during this time in life. You are not alone!
