Welcome to NW Intrinsic Psychotherapy! Our goal is to provide evidence-based individual therapy services in a safe, collaborative environment. We aim to help you explore your sense of self, values, and goals and to help you identify and address barriers achieving your goals and promoting quality of life. We currently have 5-providers who serve 3-states. We provide therapeutic services to couples and individuals. We also have a provider who is fluent in both English and Vietnamese and is available in Washington and Idaho via telehealth. Our Approach We believe that, while you cannot always control the world around you, you have a choice in how you respond to that world. We are licensed clinical psychologists who have been trained in several different therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and humanistic approaches. Further, we strive to maintain knowledge of various cultures and diversity considerations and an awareness of the impact culture and diversity can have on daily experiences to best support you. We provide collaborative treatment planning and focus our sessions on what is most important to you. Our sessions offer a balanced mix of emotional processing and skill work that you can apply to your everyday life. We use a range of techniques to help you explore your values, goals, and healthy ways to address barriers in your life so you can continue your journey long after therapy has been completed.

Psychiatrist
Beaverton, OR

I am a board-certified psychiatrist dedicated to improving my patients' well-being through personalized treatment plans. I completed both medical school and residency training at Oregon Health & Science University. When meeting with my patients, I adopt a holistic approach, considering the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence their mental health. My strategy integrates therapy and medications, as needed, to address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relational challenges. My goal is to help you better understand your experiences and develop lifelong skills to achieve your personal goals long after our collaboration ends. Initially, I follow a consultative model where I spend 2 to 3 visits getting to know you. Then, through collaboration, we develop an appointment schedule that works to meet your needs. I typically conduct weekly therapy sessions to provide ongoing support and care for patients aged 18 and older. For referrals please fill out the form on my website.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Portland, OR

I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, burnout, compassion fatigue, and socioeconomical, environmental and climate concerns. I work with individuals that want to put the work into improving the quality of their lives and finding balance within their core values, beliefs, self-worth, interpersonal relationships, work/college, leisure time, time outdoors, and lifestyle. I work with individuals on identifying the disruption in these areas of their lives that come from stressors, distorted ways of thinking, unhealthy habits and behaviors, isolation, and a disengagement from the natural world. I specialize in CBT and ecotherapy walk and talk model. CBT is goal oriented and focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful thinking and behavior. Ecotherapy, also known as nature based therapy, utilizes nature to benefit from its healing capabilities. I integrate the two approaches which allows for increased growth and insight to find balance.

I work with all kinds of clients, but I tend to work well with clients struggling with relational issues, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also played softball at a high level my entire life, so I have the experience to work with athletes. I believe everyone has the capacity to grow & thrive with the right support. My approach to therapy is based on the idea that relationships are fundamental to the health & well-being of my clients. My role is to collaborate with & challenge my clients to help them change their life perspectives and exist in ways that bring them both happiness & empowerment. I work from a relational perspective & rely on ideas from the Experiential approaches. However, if appropriate, I employ a variety of tools from different theoretical orientations to help my clients overcome the issues they bring to session. My goal is to meet you where you are in your life & offer a safe place for self exploration. Challenging yourself to feel motivated, in control, & confident in your abilities to achieve your goals & overcome the inevitable obstacles along the way is what therapy it all about. I look forward to meeting you!

H, I am Kelley - I have been in practice for the past 18 years and have 2 college age kids. I am licensed in Colorado, California and Oregon as these are the states I have lived in and still visit. I really struggled with my own mental health in college but back then therapy wasn't that common. There's a saying that therapist's become who they once needed - and that is definitely true. I offer a kind and compassionate ear, judgement free, collaborative approach - based in Brain Science. I want you create a place for you to be grounded and confident with what you bring to the world.

Having trained at Notre Dame, U.C. Berkeley and Stanford, I bring rigorous scientific expertise into my clinical work with adolescents, college students, millennials and high profile professionals. I often work with high-achieving individuals who find themselves looking for practical solutions to the barriers that impede their success. My clients are often driven, maybe a little overworked, and in need of balance! Having been there myself, I get it! I aim to be part coach, part cheerleader, and part educator as I support clients in living their optimal lives zestfully and fearlessly! I love what I do and can't wait to meet you! As a TEDx speaker, top media expert, adjunct professor at Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology, tv personality and author of multiple clinical workbooks and tools, I employ a highly active approach to therapy. I combine CBT, mindfulness, and positive psychology interventions. My therapy style is a blend of processing emotions and teaching critical life skills. In today's ever fast-paced world, we can feel disconnected and alone. I thrive on building relationships marked by empathy, trust, hope, and always, laughter. Being a therapist has been my life's passion since I was 11! How many therapists can say that? ***Please note I only see clients virtually part-time. Please also review my website and FAQ PRIOR to booking and inquiries. TY!!

Seeking therapeutic support can be a crucial step in a journey towards growth and healing. You are the expert of you -- You can help decide what your process in therapy will look like - whether that is getting support around a life transition, seeking coping strategies for pandemic fatigue, managing anxiety, processing body image concerns, navigating boundary issues in relationships, coming to terms with identity, or struggling with feelings of shame, I am here to listen without judgment and sit beside you with care. My hope is to hold space and offer tools along the way that help to build upon your unique identities and strengths. I use a client-centered, trauma-informed, relational, collaborative and transparent approach. I have experience in supporting clients with histories of complex and oppression-based trauma, domestic and sexual violence, and substance use. I am passionate about working with folks around body acceptance and/or LGBTQ+ identities and experiences. I approach my clients with compassion, empathy, and unconditional positive regard, providing them with support and validation while helping them to meet their therapeutic goals. I am a white, cisgender, queer, fat therapist with an awareness of how social identities impact life experiences and the therapeutic relationship.

Black Therapist & Company, LLC

Beaverton, OR

Black Therapist & Company LLC was founded by Dr. Rosemarie Hemmings who has over 30 years of clinical social work experience and is also a public health practitioner. She identifies as Black and brings her lived experiences as a Black woman to all that she does. Her lived experiences and 30 years of expertise is reflected both in the service population that she prioritizes and her approach. When working with our clients, we take an intersectional approach that honors their lived experiences without judgment and we partner with our clients in co-developing services/goals in alignment with their personal values and cultural practices. We believe in meeting people where they are at. Furthermore, we acknowledge as a core belief that we live in a world where Black, Latino/a/e, Indigenous, other people of color and those who identify as LGBTQ+ face discrimination, racism, micro-aggressions and are treated as others, which leads to marginalization. It is this marginalization which has contributed to racial inequities that we seek to rectify as we partner with our clients/communities by focusing on what happened to them rather than what is wrong with them. ~Normalizing rather than pathologizing~

College can feel exciting and full of opportunities, but it can also bring a lot of stress. Many of the students I work with are balancing heavy class loads, pressure to succeed, relationship changes, and sometimes homesickness. This can lead to feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, or unable to focus. At Giving Hope Psychiatry, I work with students who seek support in managing stress, improving focus, stabilizing their mood, and finding healthy ways to cope with challenges. Some students come to me for help with ADHD, anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorder. Others simply need a safe space to discuss what they’re going through and explore options for feeling better. Appointments are available online and flexible, allowing you to meet from your dorm, apartment, or anywhere you feel comfortable. My goal is to provide care that is supportive, personalized, and hopeful—so you don’t have to go through this alone.

I work with folks who want to connect with their emotional worlds and nurture relationships both with themselves and others. As a cis-gender male, I have often had the thought that it seems like everyone else got the guide-book to relationships except me. I, like many of you, am someone who was raised as in a context that did not prize or promote emotional self-inquiry, self-connection and direct communication. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, anger, shame or dissatisfaction with your life, there is space for you here. I practice mindfulness-based therapy, which means that in our work together I may invite you to pause or slow down so that we can bring curiosity to your inner world. Your experience is important and, if we work together, I commit to walking along side you in what is an act of courage not acknowledged enough: reconnecting with and honoring ourselves. Perhaps you are longing for a more satisfying way of existing in this world. Not to fret, this has been the case for many of us and the path back home to an aligned state of being has been tread by many before you. I have helped many like you and would be delighted to explore working together.
